Totally robbed by Silverwood there, but in reality if our handling had been better we would have won anyway. Some of the passing was worse than schoolboy! But having said that, our pack dominated, BC had a blinder and we were very unlucky to lose.

With regards Silverwood, how was the Wilkes knock on given as a penalty? Surely a scrum?

dont think he actually knocked on, kneed it forward in the end and smith dived on ball, offside, no choice really they would have walked over the line otherwise

I can understand how gutted you must be because you deserved the win and we know we used the get out of jail card today.

Play like that each week and you're going to have a good season.
The new stand creates a good atmosphere and must lift your team.

I thought we’d managed an unlikely victory, without seeing the play again I couldn’t call it.

If I was still able to stand in my usual place I would have got a better view, however, I couldn’t bare to stand among a bunch of uber- biased Huddersfield fans baying for blood, deriding Silverwood & constantly shouting Fartown, just let it go

I thought we stood up well today, whether we can play like that week after week is another matter, but to be a decent side that’s what we'll have to do.

The biggest disappointment for me today was Timmy’s performance, not his best.

If one good thing comes out of todays defeat thats the side never gave up the ghost.

Lots of effort.

My first impression was that the pass was forward, although I do want to see it again on SL Fulltime later.

I was disappointed in Silverwood's inconsistency, but ultimately the game was there for the taking if we hadn't made a couple of stupid mistakes.
Having said that, I was extremely proud of how we fronted up to the league leaders and probably the biggest pack in SL.

As has been said by others, if we can play to that level of intensity every week we'll win more than we lose.

I don't blame any player, the game was lost on the referee's call. I take great heart from the spirit showed by the players, the rugby played in the last quarter showed that we can compete with the best and play great attacking rugby! If we can try and play as we did in the last quarter then the only way is up!

Thanks. That's very fair...probably too fair! We made a lot of errors. Our last 25 mins was strong and probably deserved the win but you cant go giving the top of the league side 10 points start and expect to win...Silverwood or no Silverwood

One that got away - we were certainly the best team on the park and but for a couple of sloppy efforts with ball in hand, we'd have beaten them by a decent margin.

I don't like to blame the official, but Mr Silverwood was shockingly one-eyed today; I can live with the odd missed forward pass, but the amount of time he let them lay on and roll around in the ruck was criminal - it was blatant at times and went largely unpunished. He and all of his 'assistants' also missed the Shudds player running in to get involved in a melee with Poore - I understood that to be a sin-binning offence?

Plenty of positives to take from the game, but can't help feeling cheated; very disappointing.

Regardless of the forward pass, or for that matter the pass for hudds final try( I was in north stand ,so difficult to call either one ) the amount of hudds head high tackles that went unpenalised was ridiculous. Fielden and Crabtree both seemed incapable of bending their backs.

Didn't get much off Silverwood all game but my first reaction was the pass was forward. That said Mcgillvrays third was worse. Huddersfield are an awful side to watch though, they niggle away for the full 80 and the referee let them get away with it. But if we play with that much effort every week we will win more than we lose.

Very annoyed when walking out after the game, however there are far more positives than negatives, found the reffing a touch strange but when your there you can't really tell. I think we let one get away today and we do need to put those to bed, anyhow onwards and upwards, it's better now being a Wakey fan than it has been for a long time.

It was forward and he blew up straight away as soon as the pass was made - i thought the ref and the young touchjudge were poor for both teams, you lot were guilty of a lot of rough stuff in the tackles which went unpunished, standing at the side so close you can see it all a lot more clearly, and the game was littered with errors from players and the refereee alike.....was a hard game for both teams and not the best action wise but cheated ???? nah, you were just unlucky today.

Hudds were there for the taking today, but some of our ball retention and passing was embarrassing at times. Hate to blame the ref, but there was some big inconsistencies with the decisions i.e. quick taps that Hudds were allowed to do but we got pulled back for. The forward pass for the Hudds try was as forward as you'll ever see them, think the only person who didnt see this was the ref and the linesmen some how. Then to pull ours back for forward after that absolutely took the peas

Wakefield played well today, but it was Huddersfields worst performance so far, so don`t get carried away.
At 18 - 8 up we thought it was won and played some rubbish stuff instead of closing the game down.
Hopefully it was a wake up call for us not to take it so easy.

A lot of giants fans expected us to be easy beats today and a comment like that shows total disrespect for our performance. People could have said that St Helens had their worse game in the superleague era when you beat them a couple of weeks ago, but the rugby league fan who is capable of recognising what went on in the game acknowledged that huddersfield played very well and didn't let saints play, as a pose to just saying that saints had their worst game by far.

Today, both teams weren't at their absolute best and we both looked a bit suspect at times with ball in hand, but I think you have to put that down to the two teams being good on defence and it was clear that the team that defended just that little bit better would win the game....and thats how it panned out.

Pass was forward. I suspect your last try was more so. RS defo was your pal today. Some baffling decisions. The calling of a scrum after a play the ball and a whole passage of play, for a knock on he had signalled as backwards, then looked to the touch judge a few times for, was a particularly annoying one. We are all a bit one eyed but no doubt you got the best of a bad ref today
