Whether people admit it or not some fans of other teams are very bitter that the Bulls are still here, some of you on here sound bitter. Yes we were quite lucky that we kept most of our team in tact, that was down to the administrator not selling, your administrator could have done the same but tbh your better off that he did, your a much better side now.

The £1 million in my eyes shouldn't have gone to the other clubs. Not trying to make excuses but we've already had our sky money cut, so other clubs receiving the money we lose is always going to put us at a disadvantage. I'm not fussed about the money advantage....the talking is done on the pitch however the rightful thing for the RFL to do with that £1 million (that the Bulls won't be receiving) was to help the businesses that our former owners owed money to.....the ones that needed the money most especially in this economic climate.

*Cue some idiot saying Bulls are complaining blah blah*

Surely bulls boy the £1m should not be paid out to pay the debts your club accrued, if your board feel that they should pay them, then so be it. But that £1m is not for Bulls to get back some goodwill they failed to show to their creditors.

I have every sympathy for the turbulent times your club is going through, but let's compare our respective recent administration experiences:

Wakefield have to sell of all their best talent and play a season with kids and a few aging players of yesteryear. Bradford keep their squad intact (despite containing some of the leagues best talent)

Wakefield - no financial aid offered or even discussed and we end up being assumed by all and sundry to be nailed on for a one way trip into the national leagues. Bradford (who have the clout to raise £500k in donations btw) are then forwarded their sky money and the RFL buys the lease to their ground, bending over backwards to help out.

So reading posts from Bradford fans moaning about the injustice of it all, don't really inspire much sympathy tbh.

So now you're saying that SL should now pay the debts that your new owner refused to take on!
The first condition of you keeping a SL license should have been that your new owner take on the debts of the previous administration and failing to do so should have resulted in you dropping out of SL, if that had meant you folding then tough but the game would survive without you. The RFL might have bent over backwards to help you but that was in all likelyhood to try and cover their own backs.
Don't run away with the idea that any other owner in SL thinks you're too important to lose, and certainly not at the expense of their club and it's only natural that in tough times they will look after themselves, so yes I will accuse you of whinging, and it's about time you stopped it kept your mouths shut and got on with the situation you've got instead of continually trying to blame someone else for all your woes.

I have never stopped. I am not the one looking back, making sad comparisons. My only desire is a strong RL. It must be hard being part of a board as negative & spiteful as this one.

I wouldn't normally care about this but considering we have these comments from people about Wakefield not being a city it is worth clarifying that Bradford is a city.

After reading much of the bleating that was posted on the Bulls forum last year I'm surprised you're not more hardened to it.

Yes they did, at the time it was a loan, they then took over the lease and called Odsal iconic in an attempt to make it look like they got something back for their money, but let's not kid ourselves that they actually wanted to own the lease or that Bradford have actually paid them any of the initial loan back because from that point they've never had any money to pay back.

An extra million pounds, over and above what the teams would normally get has been shared among the 13 teams that are not Bradford?
£77,000 goes a long way for as super league team. The big ones with the good management can't spend it on players as they are at salary cap so it probably does go to infrastructure and development
The smaller ones like us would use it to stave off administration and improve the £60million debt situation that the BBC like to talk about.
As Bradford have wiped out some debts for free I'd say it has most certainly strengthened the league.

Nobody is forthcoming to say how much of a reduction in Sky monies Bradford has to endure, I thought it was in the region of £1.2M over the next two years?

If my memory serves me correctly, last season S.L (Europe) was to take over the club & all the CEO’s went along & agreed to this scenario, presumably with the sweetener of extra monies for all (Except Bradford)

Everything was done on the quite & swept under the carpet & those who revisit it are treat with derision.

Yes, there were posters from many boards posting tripe & support on the Bulls board. Why not, Bulls fans do not own the board, nor Wakey fans this one. I posted numerous times, despite not being a BUlls fan. I am not aware I have ever criticised any team getting support, financial or otherwise. I am disappointed at the lack of unity in RL but I guess that's the society we are now building.

It's one of the reasons I rarely venture on there.

Lets face it, if Odsal didn't have a dual usage, Bradford wouldn't still exist(rugby ground and bath for Nigel Wood)!!!!!!!

Is Bradford a city? Yes, but is it the real del like us - not quite for me.

It wasn't until the early 1900's when it was ramped up to this status due to the church of St Peter being made the Cathedral Church of St Peter. Originally in the Diocese of York, the church was in the Diocese of Ripon before becoming a Cathedral in 1919, when the Diocese of Bradford was created. Despite Bradford's huge wealth at the time they were too tight to actually build a real one which says it all. Ditto it's University, that only gained it's charter in 1966.

Hence Bradford's city status is quite new. Our city status is real, ancient and noble.

That does seem, dare I say a little pedantic Vasty. They are a City. I don't think there is a cut off date for being a REAL city.

I have no desire to defend them but it just shows double standards on our part when we argue with the idiotic Leeds fans that try to put us down and then use the same arguement against Bradford.

I'm not sure you have made your case any better.......I'm switching back to Vasty's side now.

Whilst the SL teams are allowed to dictate what happens in RL when it applies to their side they will always act in a selfish manner and look after one's interest. If the shoe was on the other foot, Bradford would have took the money too. I'm not saying i agree with the decision but it's the nature of those with power to look after number one.

Hopefully if this happens again in future the RFL will act in the same manner towards the club. But in there lies the problem, the RFL fundaentally struggle to act impartial when it comes to decision making.

At least Bradford can draw a line under it all now and move forward. It's a horrible position to be in as we know more than most but they've gotten through it and can look forward towards talking about rugby and Jamie Langley's hair. Happy days!
