From reading the Shudds statement they have spoken with their solicitors regarding him leaving. This says to me was not entitled to leave and they could go to the rfl if any try's to sign him. This is what bulls did with them with kopzac. To me we should leave alone if this is the case.

If he left on October the 4th. I can't see that being him going on strike, ie refusing to play or train. Usually it's a diplomatic way of saying someone has been removed.

By letting him go they are pretty much ending any action with solicitors. Their bargaining position would have been if they wanted him to stay and either he broke a contract or another team broke the rules.
Once they let him go there is nothing to gain.
