I wonder if he can be demoted? Would it be worth giving him to the end of season and then if no improvement bringing in someone like noble and keeping Richard as his assistant.

Noble is going to Bradford...the problem is he has lost the respect of the players! There is nothing there our defence is pants our attack consists of 3 moves and the effort is appalling. How long are people going to put up with it? The Catalan game was good for the first half but we nearly gave it away in the second. I am sick of excuses and sick of his crap team selections.

It's just not good enough by agar or the players

In my opinion its more so the players than Agar. In all fairness to the bloke some of the better signings are down to him and the poor ones someone else. For instance he did a good bit of business sending Tommy Lee to Shudds and getting Wood. Like wise our only good overseas players Collis and Aiton are also his.

I think where people have a genuine gripe are in two basic areas.

1. His technical knowledge of the game may be good but he may lack the communication skills to pass it on to the players and motivate them. I really believe if Glenn Morrison had not suffered that injury and was still captain at the club his leadership on the field would have rubbed off on to the team and Agar would be having a much better time.

2. He is frustrating the supporters by appearing too loyal to non performing players and sticking to some baffling tactics. He has probably given somethings a little more time than they deserve. However the blokes hands are tied over the Easter period due to the amount and intensity of the fixtures. I will judge the bloke on this one when I see what he selects from the available players once this period is over.


I think giving him 3 years was madness. However I also think its too early to make a decision, therefore not voting on this one yet.

Overall i don't rate him but he probably deserves the chance to prove himself for a bit longer yet. But if the same problems still persist in 6 or 7 weeks time my patience will have worn very thin. For me he's got until we play cas at the Etihad on magic weekend to show that he is improving us.

Well for me I was willing to give Agar the benefit knowing what his former boss is like with the husband.It does appear that Agar is running out of ideas and time lets face it we have a side that should be doing well.Good win over Widnes a good game against KR that with a bit more luck could have gone our way.A great first half v Bradford and should have been in front but rubbish second half.To come away from the KC 14 - 10 with the defending we had to do was good.Hudds game didnt let any one down.Warrington a real good go and so near so far.Catalan great first half then hung on for win.London and Cas what the heavens happened that was total rubbish.Then todays game he drops Smith and keeps John well for me Smiths been the better of the two by some way.It wont be long before the shouts for him out will gain more momentum and the non season ticket fans go do other things.

things were looking good up until the london game, so we have shown good potential. But it seams like in the last 3 games that no ones really that bothered any more (although i didnt go to wigan, but we cant say we didnt expect to get beat!). Somethings obviously not quite right in the changing room

I said give him until end of season and then judge him. He's over acheived already in my books and should be carry on as normal. His mid season signings have proven very shrewd and put us in a fantastic position.

I was very anti Agar but now I would take him home and let him sleep with my sister. I bet he is feeling very smug if he ever looks at the comments on this forum.

I said support him. There were only a few lone voices at the time saying this, partly because the anti Agar voices were so loud and aggresive about it in my opinion.
I'm disappointed so many followed what the Hull fans said rather than supporting the club decision for at least a season.

And what's worse, if he loses a few games at the beginning if next season I can see this poll being brought out again.

I'd never want to do his job.

And I have a lot of respect for the ones who are coming back on here saying they were wrong.......but there is a lot that are staying quiet and ironically they were the loudest.

In all seriousness I chose option two. At the time of the poll our performances were getting worse and it was difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But Agar also deserved to be given the chance and the time to sort it out and thankfully he did. Lets hope he carries on in the same vein as the latter half of the season for the whole year next time out!

In all seriousness, all new teams need time to gel and we have proven that given time we are a competitive side. Only London away and Wigan at home have been real beatings as far as I can remember!
