| John needs time, maybe on the bench next game and Wood to start. Look at Rangi Chase when he first joined Cas, he looked like a poor mans Tommy Lee. I'd take the kicking conversions duties off him and use him like we have been using Wood, John had got some skill he has shown signs. Smith needs to do a lot more though or I'd be looking to drop him too.

BJs first year was a nightmare, people (us!!) forget these kids (and that is what they are) have travelled half the way round the world to work in a different country.
Reality check, stick with him, if he's as good as we hope, with the support of the club it will show.

| If you set your stall out pre season to go with a lightweight mobile pack then you can't really expect much out of a game when you play away from home against possibly the biggest side in the league in the pooring rain.
Judge the pack on a dry track with the sun beating down when the forrards generally start to flag.

| Catalan have a big pack and they perform and have the sun down on their backs most of the summer. We'll be mobile but you need some real grunt up front when you're making the hard yards out of your own half. Don't think we can rely on big packs getting tired/being short of pace. Is Southern really up to playing out of position at prop? What do his stats say?
If there is the money we've got to recruit another out and out big 1st class prop and if Wood can't kick goals as good as his positional kicking then we need another quality centre/winger who is a proven goal kicker to make most of each try/penalty. Otherwise we'll finish just above Widnes which will be disappointing with the talent in the team.
There is some hope as we haven't won a game since Amor got injured. He made significant yardage in the game at Widnes and gave that penetration and go forward. Hopefully he's back in the next couple of weeks.

I think he'll play wherever he's asked and give 100%, but I'd rather see him back where he belongs; at this point, I'd even consider recalling Matt James, for a bit of size and power up the middle - nothing fancy, just cart it up until Amor is fit.

| Let's face it, most realistic fans will be happy if we improve on last year and if we're in with a chance in most games with 10 to go then I'm sure we'll all be happier. Things will improve in time as the players gel better and the sunshine comes ( will it ever ? ). I liked the way we stuck in there on Sunday until the end, they will always get my support 100% if they give their all. I've seen us throw the towel in many times before and come home short changed but at the moment despite the 3 defeats I am still hopeful and optimistic with Amor due back. ( Agar said this week might be too soon but the week after a possibility )
Unfortunately, some fans of all sport are fickle and look for too many reasons sometimes why their team are getting beat. Just one of those things I guess, someone has to lose. We just have to learn to turn those close games into wins and the fickle supporters and constant moaners might just look on the bright side for once.
Keep supporting the team and the rewards will come and when they do they will taste all the more sweeter cos you stuck by your club. I love this team and have done for 40 years and whenever we win any game I get a sense of pride. Onwards to Sunday, let's see what it brings, you never know we just might win! And that's it for me, that anticipation, that uncertainty, that hope will never die.

let's face it, most people say that but when push comes to shove moan and whinge and get frustrated when results don't start coming in.
it's a tough battle for the hearts and minds of the casual supporter, for people that come on here a have a deep seated love of trinity it's not an issue but we're not the ones that the club need to attract, we're already hooked.

| I understand what other supporters above are saying and I have been hooked on Wakefield since I went and saw them in the 1979 Challenge Cup Final as a boy. It also led to me playing the game for 20 years.
Whether a casual or loyal supporter there is a need for Wakefield to have a vision and a drive for constant improvement but balancing it within a realistic budget. This will lead to more loyal and less casual support.
This appears to be a very talented team with a quality coach and a committed owner. Like many fans have stated before it is clear that we are short of just two types of player to make a big difference to the results and it is a powerful prop and a proven kicker who may also be used as a utility outside back.
I just hope R.A. is looking at these issues which he appeared to be doing at the beginning of the season (Prop) from some of his press releases.
