I have seen the Bradford lorry

its a good lorry, a bit old because they cant afford a new lorry, due to paying for a really expensive welsh lorry some years back, its parked up in their lorry park, it a landfill in bradford, below the top of a hill, gets a lot of rain, lorry has to get up hill, now to get the lorry out, the water in the lorry park needs clearing so the lorry wheels can get a grip, so obviously the water has to be removed, but thats ok because the RFL, who are fair and benign in their lorry park decisions;

HAVE OF COURSE BAILED THE BRADFORD LORRY PARK OUT WITH THEIR BIG BUCKET THAT THEY SAVE SPECIALLY FOR SUCH EMERGENCIES!

I saw the Warrington one near Kettering, the Widnes one on the A14 near Cambridge. Best of all the was the Castleford one heading towards Norfolk.

Go from Junction 31 to 26 and then to Bradford City Centre every weekday and see numerous Stobart lorries every day but haven't seen a SL one.

just got an update from a friend in hull re the lorry situation.

the lorry is trying to go backwards, and the co driver has been asked to get out and help with the reversal. thus he was instructed to issue to the driver instructions as to whether to be for forceful or rather gentle.

the driver heard the following, which unfortunately didnt end up in a lorry park without fish distribution;

gentle gentle, yes yes no, no that didnt go well, now gentle out again, and lets try again.

Saw eight Stobart lorries yesterday (28th Feb) but only one decked-out in Super League adverts. The journey was from Exeter to Oxford and back (M5 and M4) with the London Broncos lorry heading east near Bristol. Thing that struck me in the few seconds that I saw the thing until we overtook it was it was difficult to see that it was RL being advertised - all I remember was a samll quote about supporting your local team, and a Stobart Super League badge.

i saw my first rugby league stobart truck last wednesday. it was heading south on the m40 near stokenchurch. it had kevin sinfield on it (diving not moaning at the ref).

Not seen one yet but my motorway miles are few and far between since moving with work.

I saw the Steve Southern/Wakey lorry, just South of Donny on the A1 last week.

clearly more visable than the man himself was for much of saturday.

I saw the Wakefield one trying to turn into Newmarket lane but all the residents came out and blocked the road. However a World Wildlife Truck came up and the residents let him by and the Stobart lorry followed in his tracks. RESULT.

I work on the 41 Industrial Estate and have seen the Steve Southern/Wakey lorry flying in and out of Morrisons 3 or 4 times over the last 2 weeks!

after several trips on M62, and a trip to liverpool today, i saw absolutely loads of stobart trucks, before (finally) seeing a SL one (warrington) just outside bradford on way home.

just 13 more to spot!!!

i can now join the club as a believer, as i was beginning to think they didn't exist!

Saw my second one last Fridaywhilst stuck in a traffic jam on the A1 by Doncaster the Widnes trailor rolled past

Since mid January I've driven to Cumbria, North Yorkshire, the North East, Buckinghamshire, Leamngton Spa, Bristol, South Wales, Northamptonshire, Merseyside, Leeds and Greater Manchester and not seen one Rugby League Stobart yet.

Try slowing down a bit and then it won't just be a blur.

Saw the Salford one going over junction 19 of the M62 and the same day the Hull FC one going west on the M62.

go to some train spotting forum, theres bound to be one, and meet people with the sort of observational and notational skills you like, bloody lorry spotting, at least mine were made up ie can wait to go to catalan and see the french lorry which is actually a bike riden by pierre who has a hooped jumper on, a beret, and some onions round his neck.

its a picture on the side of a green logistical transport vehicle people, do not observe it, note it down and post it on here, instead talk to other humans, interact, copulate, anything, just stop observing lorries.

ive had a bad day

ps on the way back from hull i saw the hkr lorry, which had crashed in to a hull fc lorry, in an ironic way, they sort of merged, and smelled of fish.

I try to do most of those things aswell, but when you put a lot of miles in, any distraction is welcome, even if it does mean I'm reduced to Stobart-spotting; a man can only take so much 5-Live.

saw the hull kr one, a saints one and the catalans one all within a 20 mile stretch on the m1 near derby last friday.

Maybe Derby is the next expansion area ?
