| Every player has his price and the club should be saying "look we dont want your rejects so start talking money-big money" we would then see how serious they are.Yes they could wait 12 month till he was OOC but the same goes for the players they want to off load to us.

| If he is going (as widely predicted), then we should be asking for some money.
if we accept the players, then why don't we play hardball and ask for someone like grix back?
if we get the 3 mentioned, then that is just helping them out of a hole.

| Agree wholeheartedly.
Time for Wakefield Trinity to make a stand, tell Hudds to go forth and multiply.
If they want Murphy so badly, we stick a MASSIVE price tag on his head and make them choose whether to pay up or sod off.
I would personally rather see him sat in the reserves than see us bend over for Hudds yet again.
Why should we help them meet the salary cap restrictions by agreeing to let him go in exchange for players they don't want. As said earlier if they have salary cap issues then they will have to release some of their players anyway, most clubs are already full for next year so we could probably pick them up on a free if that was the case.
If Glover really wants to turn this club around then we should be telling Hudds no way unless they are willing to pay £150,000 or give us who WE WANT, not who they want rid of. Then we'll see just how deep Uncle Ken's pockets are!
I will be very p'd off if we let them dictate terms again.

| it all comes down to value. and how much is on the table. can't see us making a lad sit in the stands for a year, that gives us no value at all.
if the deal is right, then i trust agar/glover and little jimmy to do the right thing for us.
i like murphy, but he's not the messiah. he'd not be as big a loss as brough or obst the way he's performed this year. i think he has potential, but has a lot to do to justify his reputation on here.

| I've also heard he is going, but we should just not accept any old players huddersfield don't wont.
So if we need a winger lets target one of their's if they dont want to release them then they don't get Murphy.. If a prop is a target lets go for one of their better props.
Lets not just help them with their wage bill whilst losing one of our better players,
We should no longer be playing second fiddle to hudds and be answering their every need.

| I know for a fact that one of the Hudderfield players mentioned was chased by Agar whilst he was at Hull, so is a man he wants, not one Huddersfield are discarding, its come at a good time For Agar though that Giants need help with their SC, as he gets who he wants.

I agree we have to make a stand. Im sick to the back teeth of Huddersfield nicking our best prospects. I agree with the sentiments on here he as one year left we use Vievers, Hyde, Hendos wage to try and make Smurph stay ! Smurph please be loyal; dont join the dark side.

Danny Kirmond? Did Agar not try to sign him at the same time as Whiting?

| Raleigh, Kirmond and a few quid and i would maybe consider. Dont see why we would need Wood, when we have Wildie, Moore, Kay, Lee and then a possible Obst at a similar level if not better to play 7.
Pack would be almost complete and both would give us some size and grunt up front.
Alternatively and my preferred option is, we tell them to stick it up there ar$e, sign Aaron on a longer term deal and continue with our recruitment. If RA wants one of the suggested players, tell Hudds we will take them off there hands foc to help them out with there salary cap issues.
If Murph doesnt want to stay and would much rather sit on the bench at Hudds, please see option 1.

| I'm fairly neutral on all this its like a new broom has thoroighly gone through the club, I can live with loyalty and all that but if players want go then go for me.
From where IU am looking now we have just about had a full clear outr of the team prior to this season.

| If the lad wants away now, then sell him. but dont take second rate playere in full exchange or part exchange.
Shudds may have had a small amount of success, but they are miles away from being a big club.
Ok Mr Davey has lots of cash, so if they want any of our players so much, then make them pay (in pound notes).

Kirmond and Raleigh - yes, but why sign Wood I don't know. He hasn't established himself yet and we already have halves trying to do that. We need more experience in the halves - and yes, Sam would be an improvement, but is that enough?
Happy to be wrong on all counts!

| Personally I'm in no position to know what is what, so as we had to do with Ted, I'd trust the club on this one. On that front, I was very impressed with Glover in the one conversation I've ever had with him, so it's a trust based on a clean slate and fair reasoning rather than blind fandom.
As far as speculation goes, Murphy was supposedly approached at the same time as Ferguson, and a deal was rumoured to have been made for this season. Who knows what was promsied, but realistically, we are still a few seasons away from really being able to defend against chequebook teams like Shudds. If there is a deal in the pipeline, as for the players in, I'd like to think Glover has the business nous to know that Davey happily wastes cash and so maybe has a deal along the lines of what we got with Korki, where we help Shudds with salary cap by taking players who they continue to pay part/most of the salary for the remainder of their contract. In that light, Raleigh wouldn't be a bad signing (still only 30) and Kirmond is a good player. I tend to agree Wood offers no better that what we have, although I'd guess by that part of the deal, it is like the pig's dick thrown in for the dog.

| If Murphy doesn't want to stay and wants to leave.. Goodbye Aaron and good luck.
On the sole condition - the club get what they percieve to be adequate compensation either in terms of £ and p or another player(s) in return. The deal needs to be right for Hudds, Murphy but most importantly us... just hope the new regime are capable of being strong throughout this negotiation without being over the barrell - and financially this should not be the case any more
will be intersting to see how this unfolds
