The monthly installment offer has sealed it for me. I am a single parent and havent had a season ticket for the last 2 years simply because I couldnt afford it. At £100 it was so tempting but I only have about £50 disposable income each month (usually spent on beer and rugby) so it was always going to be difficult; however AG has miraculously found a way to meet the price that I can afford. I will be ordering mine tomorrow!

in my opinion its the way to go to reach that target, the offer should be extended to at least january in payment terms adding a small charge, anything longer would end up into the season.

things a tight at the mo for most and its not like they are sending out the goods as yet. it just could be the difference in getting a cracking crowd next year

A lot of people will be paying their cc bills for the summer holidays, and paying for stuff for their kids starting school again. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to wade in with the full amount all at once. Split payments and such will make it easier. It is good value, though. The air-fares will kill me, but I'm almost tempted to buy one myself.

Just got 2 season tickets over fone tday no problems straight through to shop on fone 1500 sold apparently shop been ringing up existing season ticket holders to renew and most are waiting till end of sept

Same happened to me. I got a call this week, had renewed my season ticket in August. Said they would update their system.

They rang from the club last night and I was gonna wait till later in the month, but I've been in today and paid up.

Snowie..you are wrong mate...went online to order my season tickets the other day, and the family ticket comes up for 2 adults and 2 kids at £220...which is the same price as 2 adults and 1 kid, if bought seperately....NO BRAINER !!!

Also a fantastic offer. Hope this is advertised to households swell as the rest when the advertisement push begins.

having been told by James that that was going to be the case 2 adults 2 kids at a ST meeting I was surpised to be told that wasn't on offer this season

If all adults get a kids ST as well as their own (even if they give it away) this would mean a hefty increase in sales and youd still be saving a few bob (assuming that the target is reached

If this offer was on at Castleford they would have sold double the 2500 by now.
we cannot blame the club for not pushing the offer more I bet Mr Glover is starting to wonder that he has taken on the general public in Wakefield don’t give a toss about RL and Wakefield Trinity.

As disappointing as it may be, Cas haven't got years of resentment built up towards the club, even following 2 relegations, and while that isn't Glover's fault, that's the task he has to overcome. We can blame the club for not pushing the offer though, there's the A-boards around the city advertising a gym and the Bradford game which is long gone now, and it does still seem at times that they still use the website and nothing else. They need to create a news story out of this, otherwise no radio station will pick it up, other than wanting to charge for an advert.

Agree, whilst the price is ridiculously good, I feel its only the people who actively search out information on Wakefield Trinity who know about the offer.

The A boards are a must, plus posters and leafleting popular places, hitting cineworld, Trinity Walk and the Riding's (now that they're sponsors), even the White Rose. The website has limited exposure. The club need to shout about the spread payment offer.

We should targget the offer at poytential junior members.
At £20 for a seasson home and away, its an absolute bargin.
Schools, RL clubs etc.

We need to push the final 2 weeks of the offer, Why not get it front page of the Wakey express, put flyers though letter boxes, and use our new shirt sponsors "the Ridings" even posters around the shopping centre may turn a few heads, 1 thing if we fail to get 2500 sales before 30th it will be extremely dissapointing on the fans behalf, AG and the Club are doing there best to drive the Club forward and obviously the supporters of Wakefield are not behind him... Sad, I have a feeling the offer may be extended purely because of the time of year and economic times, but come on People £100 for a season ticket is a steal, but £175 is a different kettle of fish. I live in Wigan and don't get to the shop much in the close season. I ordered my season ticket on-line a couple of weeks ago and hadn't received it - so rang the shop.

They are not issuing season tickets until November because they are waiting to see if we reach the 2,500 target first.

IF NOT - the season ticket price will be the full price irrespective of when you ordered the ticket - i.e. NO-ONE HAS BOUGHT THEIR SEASON TICKET AT THE OFFER PRICE UNTIL WE REACH THE 2,500 TARGET!

Everyone will be contacted requesting the additional funds if we don;t reach the target - and you will be able to claim your original 'stake' back if you don't want to proceed.

SO JUST FOR CLARITY: Is this what everyone else considers that offer to be?

I work in the banking and communication business - I'm not stupid (honestly) but I believe the wording of our ticket offer to be misleading and I'm not sure how this will look if we miss the target and we then have to go back to everybody for additional funding. Have cash payments been handed over? what about the split payment offer? etc etc.

I made the point to the shop that, to my knowledge, despite a lot of pages of discussion on this tpoic on the message boards - the club do not appear to have used the internet as a medium for correcting any misunderstandings (despite the fact that I'm assured 'anyone who has been into the shop to pay has been told this'.

I've had a season ticket for more years than I care to remember - irrespective of the price I'll be getting one next year - but I've pointed other people at this offer who may very well feel misled in the way we are fufilling this initiative.

It has been discussed several times and the general consensus is that the wording of the offer from the club is very misleading.

There will definitely be quite a few people asking for their money back if we don't hit the target rather than paying the additional £75.


Having said that I still don't understand why we shouldn't hit this target, we have IMO at least 3500-4000 regular attendees and taking up this offer means people can see every game for under £8 a game, or can afford to miss over half the games and it still be cheaper than buying on the day.
It is a fantatsic offer but has not been sold correctly IMO which is strange when you consider that is our Chairmans forte!!

It really does need clarifying.

I had assumed that the people in the shop were mistaken and the price would remain at £100 should the target be met, but rise to £175 for all tickets bought after September should we miss the target.

I can see sense in the offer in that a cash injection at this point would help to reduce any borrowing needed for the ground improvements and signings.

The asking for an extra £75 from the ones who have pledged seems to make no sense at all. If 2000 people buy at £100 quid that's £200k. If half of these ask for a refund that's £175k at the new price and a lot of disgruntled people. Many people are buying at the reduced rate because they will miss a significant number of games.

I cannot attend all games mainly due to the wife wanting to go on holiday during the season(unreasonable I know), however at this price it makes economic sense and I will be put out if I have to pay the extra £75.
