1. noble is dull and talks in riddles.
2. powell has delivered in the last couple of years (and in this stupid system his team cannot get a chance in SL, but he still can).
3. the flatcappers would take it badly.

The denials, as far as i've seen, haven't come from Trinity. Thats a small concern to me.

To be fair khlav as worried about agar as i am we cant really deny the rumours on anyone if there hasnt been any interviews yet.

I'm happy for them to wait for the right time. The signings we've made so far are none too shabby, so I'm not over-worried that we'll get the choice of coach wrong, whoever that may be [size=50(unless it's Agar or Goulding)[/size.

Well I will tell you who I think should get the Job : Brian Noble as head coach and Glen Morrison as assistant coach / Player coach, the plan would be to keep noble on for 2/3 years and install some grit and basically do what he has done everywhere he has been. (Grow the team into contenders) while he is there he would be giving the pointers for Glen to be our New coach for the Next super league era, lets face it there are not many that put the red white and blue jersy on and can say they gave 110%, Glen is one of these players, the type who players look up to, the type that when he demands 110% nobody can question him as a player. Can anyone really disagree with this. ?

Two points to that.

First you have to look at what JD is doing at Keighly and that probably takes care of that argument, second if I did agree with you Morrison would be a number two not Main coach anyway.

I always got the impression that Noble's tactic at Bradford was to bash the opposition up with a big set players and win when the opposition had had enough bashing .
As we proved on a few occasions in the past if you stood up to them and didn't take the bashing up then by around 60 mins they didn't know what else to do as they had no other plan, and the other team took over and won.

For starters, I believe Noble is yesterdays man; he's not up to speed with the modern game and would add nothing to WTW that JK didn't already provide. If he's such a hot coaching property, why aren't the 'big' clubs beating a path to his door?

Secondly, player/coach at SL level just isn't workable. I'd be happy if Morro got a shot at some kind of coaching role with us, but he hasn't earned the right to be anywhere near the 1st team.

I'll accept nothing less than Gentle or Georgalis, mentoring a young British assistant to take over some years later.

Agree totally with bren2k either of those would be a real win for the club. Don't know how much mileage in this but heard Chris Chester is interested in the assistant role. I would like to see him at the club

Chris Chester had some serious, deep-seated issues with Wakey. He always swore he would never play for the club.

Don't see why we should be the ones offering a foot in the pro-coaching ranks.
