Agree with you Vasty, Fritz wasn't fat. He seemed in decent condition for a player of that era (ie. part time, training two or three days a week). Darren Fritz also played State of Origin for Queensland. Not seen too many puddings there either. (well not for Queensland anyway)

That's the key. Full time 'professionals' should act like them and be in the condition to work that they need to be. Bus drivers can't turn up drunk, rugby players shouldn't turn up out of shape.
