Two fine bands that I have yet to explore as thoroughly as I would wish
Helloween... come on, we're allowed our guilty pleasures I like OTT guitars and Andy Deris' wailing vocals. As it happens I also like Freedom Call - disgustingly cheesy but oh so fun.

A guilty pleasure - when I was a black jeans and army boots thrash metal kid, you were still allowed to like this album; 20 years on, my 12 year old is learning Welcome to the Jungle for his Grade 3 guitar exam.
I'm getting old.

I loved that song, largely because of the hot cheerleaders in the video.
My first single was Denis by Blondie; I've been in love with Debbie Harry for the subsequent 32 years or so - she doesn't return my calls.

To be fair I'm not keen on the song nowadays.
Her album Word of mouth is actually really good, Mickey is the worse song on it IMO.
Nobody (the flop follow up to Mickey) is pretty darn good!!

Trevor Horn's masterpiece of pure pop perfection.
I play it every Saturday morning when I get up and pretend I'm a yuppie from 1982!

Yep I nearly went for that as my choice of early 80's polished pop (before it got to daft). I just felt Spandau Ballets True was a little more honest being mainly the band rather than the producers masterpiece.
