For goodness sake forget BJ..the player who has given more inept performances in god knows how many seasons here at Wakey. Yes he could win us game is IF ...the sun was shining! IF the wind wasn't too cold!etc. I know which players I enjoy watching and they are the ones who give 100% every game. Yes the players we have do not have the skills of BJ but what good were his skills to the team when he didn't use them every other week. We needed players who would roll their sleeves up and get stuck in this year and this is what we have. BJ didn't fit into that category!.

I think lee is ok . Hyde is not at this level yet his kicks yesterday were appauling and have been all year apart from the 10min spell against cas away.

You have totally missed my point. Jefferies has been one of the most talented players we have had down at Wakey for years and yet people seem happy for him to put in an odd quality performance here and there( for years) but are not as happy to give our youngsters the chances he had.

Yes Jeffries did't perform week in week out but the difference is he did turn it on from time to time. I'm afraid out current incumbants just don't have the ability to do it. Yes they try hard enough, that much isn't in doubt, its just they lack the touch of class needed to make a difference. Even today playing for Bradford Jeffries managed to set up two of their tries. Thats what we missed yesterday and have done for most of the season. Anyway, hardly matters now, we are out and all we have to look forward to on the pitch is a battle to avoid the wooden spoon.

He also set a couple up last week. The problem with Jeffries is always that he is very hit and miss and seems to be a confidence player. The fact that he didn't like kicking goals becuase it affected his confidence tells you a lot about him and is hardly the arrogance/confidence you expect from a half back. People claiming that we would have won yesterday with Jeffries on the field is laughable as you would have had roughly a 1 in 3/4 shot of him being on his game. Now had we had Broughy yesterday we would have won as it was just his sort of game.

Without question, for one thing you could guarantee he would tell his teamates exactly what he wants when setting up for a drop goal, and chances are he would nailed one.

Jeffries has creating more tries tries in his two games for Bradford than our two have put together in our last two. Maybe its just me but releasing one of your better players for nowt and not replacing him ain't a great move but people are entitled to their opinion. Lets just hope Moore can cut the mustard. And give wildie a shot alongside him in the halves.

Why is it tiresome to question ? ( in fact no reason as been given ) into why he as gone, on one hand people are crying out for experience and creativity and on the other they are happy to let a player with both assets leave.
Like him or not he did offer on occasion something different and was on a long contract and he was let go for free (did we owe Bradford money ?)

Didn't feel we were at our best in parts, but overall i didn't feel we lost either.
Much more at stake today than progression to the QF's and i thought both clubs came out of it well.

We all know Jeffries had class but it was rarely on show. If we are to build for the future I firmly believe we need to avoid this type of player unless we have a squad who can compensate for this which at present we don't.

This Jeffries thing can be done to death but we have 2 young English players who are working on their game and trying to improve whilst been in the main consistent.

Maybe we don't need to sign anyone. Moore is waiting in the wings and already has the kicking game. He should be tested before we look elsewhere.

I agree with giving Moore his chance now as i've put elsewhere. I'd play Wildie alongside him, shift Lee to interchange hooker so we don't lose as much when Rinaldi is spelled and move Hyde to fullback where the extra space might just benefit his running game. It also means that everybody is playing in their natural positions. Gotta be worth a go I reckon, we need some extra attacking threat from somewhere.

Yep, my opinion and one i'm sticking to. Personally think his game would suit fullback better but time will tell.

Not for me, Blaymire if fit should be first choice. Hyde's 'running game' is not of a sufficient standard to compensate for Blaymire's superior defensive abilities imo

Fair point but I'd like to see how Hyde would handle the defensive side of it now. He did look a little bit like a rabbit in the headlights in his one game there last year but that was his first ever first-team game and against a very good and in-form saints side at the time.

Think he will start with Wildie at 7 Lee at 6 and then bring Moore from the bench at 7, moving Wildie to 9 and spelling Rinaldi. He wont play with 2 less experienced pivots from the off, so i would guess that Lee will remain at 6.
