Personally I have no problem with it as long as they're placed in the far corner and have some level of ability. Saying that I'll have some difficulty hearing it from 10 000 miles away.

Not a misery, just not a fan of fake forced atmospheres. It is like when they hand those silly plastic flags out at Chelsea in the Champions league. If fans want to bring flags and make noise they will. If they don't, they wont.

While I agree with your stance on the band, I think the flag thing is a great idea and very effective. Massively different scale, but the Bernabeu looked fantastic last night as the two teams entered the field of play with 80k white flags being waved. Certainly something that adds to the game day experience.

A few large flags around the place would certainly brighten the place up.

The band I'd be willing to see how it goes for a game or two before I put forward my opinion.

I like the idea of a proper band but why 4 drums! Prefer brass. As mentioned by others, get in touch with Crofton Silver Band or somebody and see if they can help out.
Would also agree that it doesn't want to be located in the stand (East, as this is the only one?) with all the old fogies. Get it across with all us yung 'uns on the Southern end of the West Terracing.
