Absolutely - young Johnson has got all the tools and is a cracking athlete, he's just not getting regular service (a bit like being married) - Gleeson could make a huge difference.

Gleeson wont come cheap and i dont think gleesons defence is the best anyway !! Why cant we sign a proper 6 from australia when glovers papers come through?? I dont think gleeson would make over much difference my opinion.

We have said all season lots of effort but no quality,but if you want quality it don`t come cheap. We need a strike player and Gleeson is now available its a no brainer if the funds are there imo

What's the big thing about Aussies? Gleeson is a GB test international (who should have gone down under last year IMO) and is easily the best British centre we (as in GB, not Wakefield) have had in years.

Gleeson would be an exceptional signing, and IMO he would be the catalyst we require to take us forward this year. His defence is brilliant, and his attack is magical at times, so I hope that we do everything we can to try and sign him. Would I have him at 6 or at centre? Probably centre for me. This would allow Dean to move into the second row, and further improve our strong forward pack.

Maybe he's a secret HKR fan - they love their Antipods in that neck of the woods.

If we've got a chance, why not go for him. I've no doubt there'll be plenty of offers from other clubs. I trust AG to do what is best for the club whatever the outcome.

Nature of averages. League in Australia has the pick of the athletes where as here its probably 4th or 5th down the list. The talent pool is so much bigger in Australia there is naturally going to be a greater number of superior players.

Not doubting that for a minute, but if a bigger tallent pool means quality players it also means there will be more people who are dross. Only got to look at chavball over here.

Since when have good RL players not been trouble anyway. They don't come much more troubled than Brough and there can't be many on here who wouldn't have him back in a heart beat.

I agree there are a lot of talented sports stars that are also trouble at times. Try and change them and they lose their edge. Look at a certain Rooney he's talented but trouble comes with the package same with Brough and other stars.
