I have to say I think you are right about Smith I was disappointed when we signed him and from what I have read and heard from Salford fans he's ok at hooker but not a scrum half which is what we need.

That said there are ways of getting your point across and laying into him after 1 game is not the way to go. He is here now and we need to back him. If he turns in 5/6 performances like today maybe he will deserve a bit of stick but the amount you have given him on the back of one game is totally over the top.

Anyone who watched todays game would agree Smith was garbage. Had anyone else posted that you'd all be agreeing. But he's right on this occasion.

I thought Smith did not take on the line and looked really rusty..whether thats down to match practice i dont know.

Think he should be in reserves to get match fit and Harvey (who we were trying to sign pre-season) should feature next week hopefully and hyde if back tends to be busy in the halfbacks.

That said i will still back smith for the time being. His first game.
