| The players are being sold off by the administrators, not the club. The administrators are their to liquidate the debt that club owes and the only way they can do this is by cashing in on the only assets that Wakefield have ie the players.
I personally hope that this whole thing gets sorted out for you soon and that, all though it's probably short odds on you losing your SL status, you'll hopefully be able to bounce back.

Quote ="Ian 77 Redux"There is a quote from Tony Smith in this article:-
www.superleague.co.uk/article.php?id=21045
Perfectly reasonable position to take, recognises self interest (as well as the game as a whole) whilst at the same time expressing feelings for Wakefield's plight. Sounds like you'd rather he said 'stuff Wakefield' and tried to pick up whatever is left of your squad this time next week. Perhaps if he does that you'll be happy.'"
Hang fire. If it wasn't for the fact the armchair accounting experts knowing that Warrington are max'd out on the SC, they would be having a few players away.
Don't you just love 'em.

| Quote Yet more evidance of preferential treatment for the expansion clubs.
'"
Absolute rubbish- Vinnie Anderson had signed for the Broncos but his registration was refused by the RFL and he went to Saints.

True but that was whilst dealing with changeover! Had been allowed to outbid Widnes for Leuluai & Tookhey when quite clear had 0 money!
In championship now (rightly) they would put a transfer embargo on any side teetering near the edge, yet in SL (see Crusaders signings) no action???

| Quote ="Tommy Duckfingers"How have they "nicked" anybody? For all we know that £10k could have been the difference in paying a particular debt or not. Maybe that £10k was used to pay a bloke who supplies us goods or services that has his own house as security against his debts, a bloke who doesn't have the luxury of going into admin and paying off threpence in the pound like we have probably done. I reckon theres a good chance that 'ordinary people' have lost out plenty as a result of this. Also, them in glass houses and all that, didn't we sign Wilkes from Widness when in a similar situation? (I could be wrong here, appologies if I am).
Its too easy to paint outselves as victims here and blame everybody (RFL, Huddersfield, HMRC, Eric Pickles, O'Hara's etc) when we really need a good hard look at ourselves.
Get a grip.'"
Pretty much spot on there need to stop this self pity stuff, christ we are starting to sound like scousers!

| Quote ="bellycouldtackle"So Huddersfield ` nick ` Fergy for £ 10,000.00 ( well done O`Haras great bit of dealing in order to pay your costs ) and then loan us Josh Griffin. At the same time their junior coaching staff are still trying to prize several of our junior players away. You are right we should not forget Hudds, when the aged Mr Davey is no longer available to finance the £ 85,000 per month debt we can suggest Parkin to their administator.
Many thanks Tony Smith and also to Brian Mac at leeds, Kyle Amor I believe.'" you might be right my friend but after having some quite extensive dealings with the administrator and the receivers over the years, usually these people make sure their costs are covered before they do anything else. thats the way they work unfortunately for some
