Bearing in mind that the Administrator has just sold Obst. If we go in and buy any merchandise will this still be classed as before the take over. I don't want to go in and buy a couple of shirts just to pay off the Administrator and his cronies. Maybe we should all hang back with any spending until the deal is done and dusted?

Whilst we all want what is best for the club you cannot fault the administrators for trying to salvage what they can. Some innocent people will lose quite a lot of money through this so I think maybe a small thought should be given to them.

Agreed. But, I don't want to be putting fresh money into the pot to pay off HMRC, Ted, Rodney etc. There has to be a point where we know for definite that any cash we spend goes towards the future.

Can anyone tell me where, and why we will fail now for a franchise? As i see it we (probably) will be playing at Oakwell,that ticks all the ground boxes, administration doesn't count, our youth set up is second to none, our community work is good, granted crowd figures aren't great but whats different now as opposed to 3 years ago?

There is a financial criteria which we will fail on but other than that providing we are playing at oakwell then i agree our our application looks good however, i still think the RFL will kick us out unless other clubs have financial problems which could happen if Leeds loose the image rights test case.

It's taken a while to sift through the overnight posts and take in the current, even bleaker positon we find ourselves in.

It's a shocking place to be; AG has 'bought' the club, but as yet has no control over his purchase. I assume he couldn't even make a counter offer for the players being off-loaded.

I can't help feeling some of this is still pay-back from the Crusaders' administration. How much did they owe HMRC? How much did they pay? Were they too quick in and out for the HMRC to force a sale of assets?

I believe HMRC were rightly upset at the way their situation was handled and now we're feeling the backlash. The administrators are only doing their job. Perhaps the RFL and even O'Hara's got a ticking off from the tax man.

There's no point now looking back and finding someone to blame. There's plenty of time for that in the future. We are where we are. No room for fruitless protests.

Hopefully, we are now at the bottom of the pit, but where do we go from here?

Assuming AG does eventually get control of what's left of the club, we need to show that there is a desire to have a professsional sports club in the City of Wakefield.

What I would like to see, as a loss-leader and to demonstrate support, is for the first home game to be free entry and ticket only.

Get it promoted and get a capacity crowd from the people of Wakefield to show their desire to keep the club. If we can't get that then it's time to shut up shop and sell history books.

To be honest I wish they'd just put us down and out of our misery. This season will be a complete farce, even if we still have a club to play in SL. I just want to get it over and done with and start in the championship. And all this RFL family bull makes me sick.
