Another ex player. Seems to be a common theme here. Well the truth will out sooner or later. To be honest there's only a few of the first teamer's from last season i'd be disappointed to see go.

The players did fall out with kear. He won't listen to anything they've got to say. It's his way or the highway. Hardly any skills work was done and they got flogged to death. Should have let him go to les cats when we had the chance

Yeah, what has Kear ever won as a coach? Sack him and let the players take over.

Johnson, should have been on performance related pay still he has gone to bigger and better things, heard all he did last season was moan. Good riddance, play players who want to play...get Matty Wildie , Jordan Grayston etc in first team lets see some pride and passion back

Nothing to do with letting players take over but they should be able to I've a say when things aren't going to plan. Players such as jd Morrison
Etc can actually help the coach out not take over his role. Good coaches will listen to input from his players as well a giving out the orders. It's a two way street

But the players have to be performing on the pitch for their opinions to be justified. We all loved Kear at the start of the season, and didn't want him to take the England job in June. We can't start questioning his methods after a bad few months (during which he lost 3 key players).

How ironic that he points out our cash flow problems as he signs for a club in administration!

I have had some excellent dealings with the club... Elliot Stroud, Steve Ferres and James Elston stand out for me... some indifferent & some a little odd... and some have been down right poor.... (no names for those tho'

Has it ever occur tingly he might have been getting game plans wrong and the players might have been trying to put this across to him? No defensive patterns in place no real attacking options with ball in hand things houldnhave changed but they didn't. I'm sure jk was frustrated but the players will have been even more so as it is them who like to express themselves on the pitch and when ur only being told to play 5 drives and a kick that's hardly Andreas way of showcasing your skills! As I said it's a two way street, of course the players have to listen to the coach but he should be listening to them too. I

Think he should have kept his mouth shut personally. If Crusaders don;t resolve their issues off the field he might have signed for a club that can't afford him or may not even be a superleague club. His remarks could have stopped him going elsewhere if everything falls through.

I get your point, but with the players he lost, I don't think he could do much more. All three losses were out of his control, and he was left with a very average squad at best. Since he came to the club, he has had a poor 4 months. I think he deserves another season at least.

you are 100% right about no defenisive plans,when a new recruit asked an excisting player what our plan was regarding our defence he laughed and told him to speak to jk so he did to which he was basically told there wasnt one.

I know somebody who is doing some work with the club and they have had nothing but positive things to say so i guess it is all about personal opinions and experiances.

You can have the best defensive plans in the world, but when the players are missing 20 tackles a game,you're going to lose and also look like you have no defensive plans

I call bull on that one; we had an awful season and there are several reasons for that, but to suggest that there were no defensive plans is just bloody daft; what we do know by the way, is that there were lots of players who couldn't or wouldn't execute decent defensive plays, most of whom are gone now.

I would wager that what actually happened is that when things started to go wrong, some players started to make excuses and blame 'the management'; this is what happens in every workplace when people want to deflect attention away from their own failings.

I say again - Paul Johnson has done himself no favours; the RL world is a small one and not many employers want to take on someone who has proven to be disloyal and a troublemaker.

Easy rule of thumb here - never pay any attention to anything, positive or negative, a player says. 99% of the time it's to please the club he's at and make the supporters like him.

Usually it's the old "XYZ is a great club, I've always admired Mr. Coach when at other clubs and look forward to working under him. Mr. Chairman has run a steady ship here and I'm glad he wants me to help the club grow…" followed a year later by "It's run by muppets, the coach is a joke, the club is a shambles."

I would far sooner have a club who have little resource but a big heart than have any number of big idiots with a heart the size of a pea and the thought processes of a sulky schoolboy!

Paul - you were crap while you were here and you're even worse now. You came with a reputation and left with a different one. Remind me, how many clubs were seeking your services? How long did we have to wait to announce your signing so that you could settle your divorce? How many weeks did you miss training because you 'ran into your own team mate?

Do us all a favour - just keep your bitterness to yourself and get on with the rest of your life! We'll do so much better for not having you here!
