For anyone to suggest that it is just follow the leader is to say the least so far up themselves that they are inverted. Did you ever stop to think that the reasons most people don't ask about the funding is because

1. It is nothing to do with them

2. They can have no influence on it anyway

or

3. They simply don't care how it is funded as long as the stadium gets built.

I personally don't give a toss about the Castleford funding, as many others don't and many Cas fans don't really give a toss about our funding either. It seems to me that although people do comment on it, you are the only one dragging it up in almost every topic you post in.

Have you even considered that the information around who/how much funding is coming from, may be confidential and not for public consumption at this point.

Where we differ from Cas is that the 'committment' I refer to is from the developer - and is tied up to the conditions of the planning application - just as we said it would be.

There has to be a good reason to allow development on Green Belt - a Community Stadium for the benefit of a Community Trust - backed up by a 15,000 signature petition - counts as a good reason, ergo, without the committment to build a stadium, there is no Planning Permission, ergo there has to be a committment to build - ok?

Once the decition in octoper is given.. it shouldnt be long before outline is granted, providing the detailed drawings have been done. With the correct financial backing it could be fast tracked and we could be laying groundworks early next year

I remember reading somwhere that the stadium is a 48 week build so this means that so long as we have started building by febuary, which with the timescales that have been mentioned, i see no reason why we can't be in our new home ready for the start of 2012.

Also if we do start building by febuary then surely the build will be far enough advanced to satisfy the RFL that it will be ready in time for 2012 meaning that with everything crossed we should be ok for a franchise.

Knowing our luck the RFL will bring the season forward by a month or two just to shaft us.

That won't happen first match is 12th 13th February in Cardiff.

My only thoughts would be that I don't see any reason why the muck shift and site preparation works could not start once the outline approval was finally granted (assuming no legal challenge & public enquiry) at the end of November, before the reserved matters application is made. It does carry some risk to the developer but in most cases it is very slight?
