I'm sure if John Kear was give the full salary cap to spend we would look a lot better than we do now, of course it is easier to play good rugby if you have good players!!!

This is such a nonsense, if you want a fair comparison on Kear then maybe you should look at teams like Quins and Salford as they have similar resource levels.....comparing us & Kear to Wire is like comparing the coach of Birmingham with Alex ferguson.

Re attractive rugby it is easy to play it when behind Morley, carvell, Solomona, harrison & westwood so again a nonsense.

You dont need a full salary cap to make your players go out on the field and look like they wanna play rugby though...or just to look interested and want to be out there would be nice...

Don't all coaches in SL and the National Leagues get to see teams like Wire and Wigan live or on tv a number of times over the season? Thus all teams should be able to play the same way and to the same standard.

I've seen loads of gigs and live footage of bands over the years. I still can't play guitar like Mark Knopfler or drums like Keith Moon.

My point is that with better players, especially when they play expansive as their natural game such as Solomona, the team is more likely to be able to do it.
Without quick ball from PTB and first receiver, which is where we are struggling, we are never going to be able to play expansive rugby.

Oh come on let's not go down that road! How many people on here were slagging off Atkins before he left. He is a good line breaking runner. He hasn't changed. He is just getting more opportunity.
I liked him when he was at Wakefield. No different now.

I also liked atkins as well. a bit greedy with the ball at times but nowt much wrong with his attack or defence. Look where we would have been now with all the players weve let go over the past 6/7 years. probably top of the league with no aussies!!!!!!!!!!!!

The current coaching staff could not coach any team to play like hudds, wire, leeds, saints and wigan are playing at th moment. fact is they dont know how and that is based on fours years of evidence.

Actually looking at Alex Ferguson and Alex McLeish both do an exceptional job with what theyve got.
Alex has players with class and skill and has millions at his disposal.
Alex mcLeish on the other hand has no stand out brilliant players and not a lot of cash to spend so has to do with loan players and waifs and strays but has done wonders at Birmingham.

Just wonder if kear had money to burn and to spend on class players would this make him a better coach. You can only work with what your given as in Alex McLeish`s case.

I'm showing my lack of football knowledge here! re Kear and lots of cash, unfortunatley i suspect we'll never know if he can spend it wisely so long as he remains wakey coach!

just a comparison saying that a "GOOD" coach can even fashion a half decent team with no money and second rate misfits and loan players.

As John kear did lat year, it's nearly impossible to do this year in year out in any sport.

Isnt a good coach one that does good with what he has ? , Anyone can coach a team with loads of money and buy players , saying we have no money isnt an excuse, John kear should get his act together, stop feeling sorry for himself , and get some self confidence into the team , he isnt a good motivator. Everyone can buy a good team , a good coach is one who can develop one , Good coachs are likes of Brian Noble who has put last years bottom of the table team , into the top eight. Crusaders havent got a pot of money ? We cant afford to compete with the likes of Leeds etc. for money, so we have to make do. We have enough talent in our team to make the top eight, they just arnt playing together, anyone can beat anyone on the day and john last season brought that out of the players , he hasnt done it this year, give him another year and see what he does is my view. Thats if he wants to stay at belle vue

crudarers dont have a pot of money but at the moment they have a rather large quota
when was the last time a big name coach came to a team like us with no money or a regular quota, id love a new coach such as Bennet, Brian Smith, Brian Noble, or even a punt on an assistant coach such as wigan did with Mcguire or even Anderson at the giants but they arent going to come to a club with no ambition or cash or even a future.Their CV wouldnt look too good with a club that cant or doesnt spend. i applaud John Kear for all hes done but think he deserves more than we have now, but he also needs to update a few of his ideas.

not long ago we were at wilderspool infront of 5 thousand and getting battered every week with a load of bufoons stealing a living every sunday afternoon,once you get passed the stadium hurdle i think thats the foundations for getting to the next level...keep the faith and good luck for next season and your stadium applications.

What worries me about Kear is every little basic play is sensational in his book, I suppose a few scoots from average wingers is pretty good by his standards.
