If the rumours are right, then Fozzard and Wheeldon are a good addition. Our pack this season have been lethargic and too one dimensional.

You know what you're going to get from chain smoking Foz and didn't Wheeldon score a couple of tries against us recently.

For me Korky and particulary Moore have been well below par. Hope we keep King however.

We certainly need change in our pack for next season thats for sure.

Will admit to being impressed with young Watts at Hull KR too.

agree about moore but not korki, i think he has had a decent season. imho !

It's all about opinions but I've never really rated Korky however I know he's a fans favourite.

Agreed Mary, liability in defence when he ambles up from defensive line, and liability in attack, never gets a quick play of ball for us...
But..if he does another big run like he did about 5 years ago no doubt he'll get a new contract..

Wasn't overly enamoured with his first spell with us but to be fair when he came back he was a steady performer and remained so up until 6/7 games ago. When the team is playing so poorly it's difficult for anyone to shine. When we first went into the slump our pack was still playing reasonably well it was the backs and halfs letting us down. Because results have been so poor the confidence has drained out of the entire team and is the result is the pack are now playing gash as well.

Have to agree - he pulls all the right faces and runs like a train, but his technique is awful; leads with the ball-carrying arm so that it pops out in collision with alarming regularity. Is easily turtled on almost every tackle, resulting in a slooooow play the ball. Also has the capacity to be a penalty machine.

IMHO the likes of Bracek and Ostick in NL would be better in a Wakey shirt than Korki and Moore...If its true what i have heard on another thread that Moore is playing injured...well Kear needs to drop him as soon as poss...All good offering your hand up to play but if your not right you shouldnt be in the team for ne...

I'd agree with PhilB that he is an honest grafter of a prop, we would have liked to keep him but what with the salary cap we have priorites elsewhere in the squad, most people I reckon would think its a shame he is leaving but there is not the mass wringing of hands over here about it, if you do sign him that might give you a pointer on what type of player he is.

Maybe we have and Kear doesn't know about it cos he isnt going to be coach next season (well we can but hope)

No better than what we have and he'll soon be turned on, nowt against the bloke, seems a decent player and a grafter, all the things we keep hearing are not good enough for us

I see what you mean, he managed 10 offloads in his 3 seasons and 56 appearances at Hull FC. Before Morgan managed to coach it out of his game

Each to there own i suppose, i dont look at stats; i use what little knowledge i have and what ive seen and make my own judgement.

To be fair a compound fracture hardly makes a player injury prone does it??

Its clearly a serious injury and one I would imagine is likely to make him more prone to leg injuries in the future.

No but prior to it he managed to play in only 31 Super League Matches out of 55 Suggests he is.

In fact in his 3 seasons at Hull KR he will of missed 53 out of a possible 84 games come the end of this season.

That could be said of any injury, that a person is more prone to injuring that part of their body again. If that was the case then it is fair to say that many players would have had to retire well before their careers would naturally end. Just look at JD he suffered a neck injury came back just as strong and to my knowledge has had no further injuries like that and I think it is fair to say that a neck injury can lead to far more problems in life than a leg in jury. Nobody ever became paralysed from breaking a leg.

So why not take a punt on Walker, given the compound fracture he suffered, he would be less likely to command the same kind of money as before the incident.
