Lots of dropped ball which isn't suprising given the weather.

We've all been complaining about the dull RL during the losing streak and some complain when the lads try a bit of creativity.

It wasn't even a bad pass. It's not as if he's not done that sort of pass before. Blanch, been the wing man, should've been ready for any pass. He had an open field in front of him had he kept hold of the ball.

We've had to rejig the backline to compensate for the right hand side.
We've retained Gleeson in the run on side at the expence of Matt Baymire who is as solid as a rock.

When we make interchanges we remove George and shift Murphy to the wing Blaymire to fullback, it's too much change to accomodate one player.

The bench is confusing, only three front towers chosen which means extra work for the props yet we then ask one of them to shut down the oppositions kicker causing extra fatigue. That then is compounded by Korkidas needing stitches and Moore is left out there sucking oxygen in via every orifice in his body. RESULT? Moore fails to push up, leaves a gap in the defence then fails to complete the tackle and Leeds get back in the game.

Leo Latu starts erraticaly but our bench has no interchange hooker so we again have to make a number of positional changes to get Obst to hooker with BJ coming on.

It's all over the place and I can't see the logic in it!

I was going to add that win lose or draw this game, I won't change my mind on this line up.

Clan i agree the bench was confusing. Might as well start with Blaymire and Murphy to centre replacing Gleeson.

Having said that, even accounting for the bench extra work the props do, we lost that match due to been unable to retain then ball in the tackle.

As JD just said, if you keep playing like that you'll make the 8. Great effort from you lot but Leeds just had too much in the end.

I'm not going to go into the ins and outs of why we didn't win and say it was a great effort from the boys and if we play with as much passion and heart for the rest of the season we will make the top eight,well done lads.

Indeed, 1 man too much. Still don't think Smith would've got to the ball but it doesn't excuse Morrisons pull. Still i think Trinity threw away a point with poor ball retention.

I also can't understand the interchange bench, he has done it for years though. Remember in 2006 Kear had Obst, both March brothers and Latu in the 17.

I thought Cooke was brilliant tonight, though.

Korkidas and Cooke were your stand-outs for me.

Maybe it's a lack of been able to take the really tough decisions. Give him a patched up side and he works miracles, with a full squad he seems to want to shoe horn the first choice players in regardless of whether it upsets the balance of the team.

I back Kear completely but there is no getting away from the fact that was yet again a ridiculous bench. why complicate matters? Rugby League Footballers are simple folk there is no need for these elaborate interchanges.

Irrespective of my misgivings about the line up it was a magnificent effort against a Leeds team that's beaten a very good Wigan side and also put the cleaners through a strong Warrington line up in recent weeks.

One thing that has to be said is that the level of fitness was only surpassed by the levels of comitment shown by all the players. Picking the team is just one aspect of being a Manager and in all other respects the preperation of the squad seems to have Been excellent.

Had I been asked before the game Id have settled for a hard fought 4pt loss away to the current champions and in front of the TV cameras.

So. . . Well done to the players, a proud effort!

Kear should have shown some balls and kept sam at 7, jeffries at 6 and cooke to loose, and made a tough decision and dropped JD/Hendo or another and had davey on the bench. This fooking around with positions is daft and counterproductive

6 points loss,i agree we fought hard tonight and would have took that score proir to the match looking back we should have won that is the third match out of 4 where we have lost a good lead and i still belive another couple off forwards out there it may have been different and had gleesen not played we would at least drawn
