Big handy lad and if we pull that off it wont be so bad, but Brisbane need to add to what they have, not 1 in 1 out, so i have my doubts.

Very tough lad as well remember him getting assaulted by Clint Newton I think in a shocking tackle, left him with a broken jaw but he still played on.

Dropped off the radar a little but a solid player non the less, Tronc though is without doubt a very difficult player to replace.

Why would we want him?

Because your down a front line prop, and when he's on form he's the best impact prop in the league.

Ashton looked class in the world cup, I would love to see him in SL.

Ashton Sims is an excellent acquisition for any team, he's a little bit like Greg Eastwood in his style of play but is a lot bigger and more direct.

He has a fantastic offload as well as a clever short passing game he also brings a fair amount of mongrel with him and providing he's fit he would soon become a crowd favourite.

I'm not happy about losing Shane Tronc but Ashton Sims would certainly ease the pain to some degree!

Ashton Simms would be more than an ideal replacement,He's got more of an attacking game than Tronc and would possibly offer abit more attack that we radically need when things aren't going our way.

Watched him play for St'George a few seasons ago and i'm sure he made the Kangaroos train-on squad at some point and also the NSW Origin train-on squad.

only solution would be to say to tronc send mrs home and stay here till we get visa fior sims...

its only took a few weeks for crusaders to get shifcoskes visa...

as mentioned above, sims is a good player (although i think of him more as a second rower than a prop - but thats my opinion).

the one thing that sims does have is aggression, similar in a way to newton i think.

a good sgining if possible, but we could do with king stepping up as well though.....

Its a bitter pill to swallow losing Tronc but if we can secure the signature of Sims and hopefully Feka on loan I think it will turn out as a positive for us.........

Again - being 100% honest I dont know........all I was told was that Tronc will be gone within 2 weeks ( which has now come out as being true ) and that we had recruited a replacement although my source would not give his name ! Hoping its Sims but I will have to wait along with everyone else for it to be announced.
