I'm not really concerned about his off the field stuff purely because he is a known quantity to our coach, as were King and Brough when they arrived. We know what we are getting.

I reckon it would be hooker, Murrell to 13, Galea to 6 (or vice versa) that would leave Fisher / Brough at 9 with hodgson as back up.

Hope it comes off, will certainly make for an attacking side.

It looks like Cooke will be a replacement for Newton. I'm confident Kear has the coaching skills to handle his personality. I would imaging Cooke would play 13, with JD moving to 2nd row, just like he did for the first few games. Where more than covered at hooker in imo. If our injuries are as bad as rumored for this Friday I wounder if we'll see Cooke make his debut! The 19 man squad tomorrow should be interesting.

The Sporting Life site states that Cooke was playing at 13 when Hull won the cup in 2005 under JK, and so maybe there is the hint.

Probably a good move all round, Rovers have had what we needed to out of him (without him ever consistently hitting the heights), Cooke's face doesn't appear to fit with Morgan, some room on the cap won't harm Rovers and at 28 Cooke needs to be playing with a coach that understands him. Step forward JK.

I'd be amazed if we loaned him to you, continued (rumours to that effect) to pay a percentage of his contract and then let him play against us.
