If was John Kear, at half time I would have confronted the players in the tunnel, said "where the hell do you think you're going, get back on the pitch!" and giving them a public rollocking.. By rights, those players need taking on the first plane to Kabul or Baghdad to see real heroes who make huge sacrifices every day without any guarantee that they will see the whole day through in one piece, i.e. the British Army. That "performance" was simply unacceptable.

Not since Allan McCurrie brought 2nd division Whitehaven to Belle Vue in 82/83 have I being so annoyed and embarrassed by a home performance
But we need to draw a line under it and move on to HKR on Friday
Then we need to address the situation regarding our lack of props and centres we have little or no cover in either position due to the fact that the club never learns regarding signing the likes of King and Johnson who will not play 20 SL games between them all season
We are not far away one P poor performance does not make a poor side
Win or lose at HKR the one thing I do not want to see is players who are not 100% fit being in the team so if BJ,DB and JD are not fit the squad players will have to step up and be counted

I remember that very well. To be fair I think that we still had a chance of winning that cup game well into the 2nd half so the final result came as more of a shock.

One of the most woeful performances I've seen in a long time. The only saving grace was that I didn't travel and pay to watch it, as I was elsewhere.

The Rovers performance is crucial now, as you get bad games now and again. There is always the risk though that it turns into a slump.

I thought the same as Uptoncat in a different thread, whether there was a problem in the dressing room, because as a whole team, there was no heart in that performance.

said the same myself, something is not right behing closed doors, couldn't make the game so watched it on tv and one thing i noticed is JK didn't look too suprised or mad at the way we was playing, he just has a look of acceptance, every time they scored the camera showed JK's reaction and it was same everytime

I think it's part of the Griffin deal. We agreed to be totally gash every time we play them while Griffin plays for them such was our desperation to get rid of him.

I agree that the team wasn't the same team I have travelled and watched this season. Such a dissapointment TBH I atleast expected a single try, we had also a few opportunities to take the 2!!

It was a truelly aweful day.

Credit where credit is due. Huddersfield were awesome but we did not help our cause by a really woeful performance.

With HKR finding some form of late and beating Saints yesterday, next week will not be easy.

A huge performance and much improved effort required. A win would be nice but the attitude and effort shown IMHO is poor important next week as if that is not again evident then serious questions will need to be asked.

I trust JK to turn it around next week. Even if it means making serious changes.

Think it will be a young, inexperienced side out next weekend due to injuries. I'll be going but I'm expecting a bit of a spanking. as long as the efforts there thats all we can ask for.
