I think I'm preaching to the converted (and one unyielding tool) here but it's not like the money freed up from these players going out is going to sit there doing nothing - it's going to go towards bringing in new playing staff, and securing contracts and longer term development of other players - especially our youngsters. It's always a shame to lose certain players, but that's how sport works and we'll just have to bring in (or have brought in) other people to do a job for the team. JK is no fool, unlike the originator of this thread...

You go on about Richardson, but I am pretty sure it will be JK who has the say over what players he wants and doesn't want. Richardson will more than likely advise over balancing the books etc, inform about budget etc... but surely JK will be the one who says yes or no to players.

JK is very realistic when it comes to what we can and cannot afford. He knows the value available to him and works extremely well with Ted in making that money stretch where we want it to go - without busting the bank. It's part of what makes JK the right man for us!

I remember after the Saints game at home, many on here were slating him, including you I believe. I wouldn't make that judgement untill I had seen him have an extended run at that position.

I don't know the circumstances surrounding Grix going to Huddersfield but I think he will find his chance of playing at 6 very slim. I think he will be used as utility player to fill gaps, probably play half the season in the reserves. If it's his choice I think he is making a big mistake career wise. Only time will tell I suppose.

JK will have had a amazingly difficult job balancing players who are out of contract, who to keep to let go and who can you get some money for to strengthen the squad. JK has worked miracles before and you have trust his judgement and dealing skills. The motto for 2010 and every year is in John Kear we trust!! how on earth did we finish in the top six this year with all that has gone on within the last year??? BUT WE HAVE!!

if we are a side improving we should have kept Atkins. Losing Snitch to cas is silly. I fear there will be more players leaving.

ok look at it this way 150,000 is 8,333 paying adults thats 595 per hope game ok?

if we improve our gates by lets say 1000 we will get to keep players, if we dont some will have to go to pay the rest! or they will all go because they want to be paid money for doing their job.

I am a personal shopper for Ted Richardson he provides me with a list of what suits he would like and what national league players we can get on the cheap. He really likes seafood; crab sticks, mussels, trout you name it. The last 4 years he has been paying me out of Solomona and Ellis's transfer fee's. I am sorted for the next 3 years now Atkins has gone.

Not going to take sides but you have recruited very well for 2010 although some of those could been seen as high risk signings. Tronc is quality, Newton, Millard, Morrison all have issues which make them higher risk than normal.

A large turnover in the squad also rarely pays dividens but could be exactly what the club needs to freshen it up.....its a case of suck it and see for 2010 at the moment I guess.
