quite shocked myself tbh , i can see group 2 being competitive but very shocked to see crigg and heworth not in the top tier.

i think Shaw cross used the get out of jail with a few wins back end of the season

no liason officer required just a touchline manager from both teams.

first week games are now out with us playing local rivals lock lane at home in the first leauge game.

very tough start for Stanley in the 10s

dont think it matters where or who you get its going to be very hard,i dont know about dewsbury but i cant see a weak link anywhere amongst the others.

im happy to get lock lane at home has its a fixture the kids look forward to and it has the added spice that two of their best players have joined us over the close season, so its going to be a very nervous week for them two kids.

Drigg v Stanley looks a hard game from what I saw last season but I'd put my house on Cas. Panthers in the other ( not bitter and twisted or owt , but I would be amazed at anything but a Panthers win )

The groups at under 11's are wrong on the web site, The fixture secretary pasted last seasons top group instead of this years.

cas panthers u10s warmed up for the new season with a convincing 44-12 win over a big garforth side,we scored 9 tries but only mannaged 4 conversions which is a worry but we looked strong all over the park and credit garforth they never gave up and will cause teams a lot of trouble in group2.

stanley rangers under 11's first run out won the Shaw Cross charity challenge festival this weekend.

Stanley rangers under 13's pre season 70 to nil winners at cas panthers, and just won the Charity Challange cup final at shaw Cross 28 to 8 V shaw cross.

right start of the season for the under 12s at stanley and we at home against shaw cross k.o. 11-30 this saturday we are in the division two league and will have games against :-

Crigg all blacks u 10's beat Parkside 50-12 today . Bit of a worry for them though - only a 9 player squad .

looks like its gonna be a little bit to easy for you fellas in group 2 and await the league to rectify this problem.

stanley u 10 had a tough start to the season with an away trip to bradford side drigg but came away with a superb 32-4 victory in a game which Stanley dominated all over the park .

we opened up our season (stanley under12s) with a well deserved win against shaw cross, on previous games they have been thrilling and this one too lived up to the expectations, on a very hot day stanley had gone to a half time lead 21 -6 and then shaw cross made a spirited come back in the second half, the final score ended up 33 -14, we had one of two new players in the team and he gelled very well

our game "cas panthers vs lock lane" has been put back until monday night
because lane couldnt raise a side over the weekend due to holidays.

i took advantage of the day off and went and watched stanningley vs eastmoor u10s which finished 38-18 to the home side,very little in it in the first half but stanningley were very aggressive and it clearly upset the eastmoor boys who started backing off their opponants,two fights also in the second half the second involving around 8 kids which is a worry but im quickly learning that when you go to play stanningley you after fight fire with fire or they will just bully you off the park.

a great win for stanley maybe the young girl who coaches drig will realise that playing half the team a year under age will eventually catch up with you,still take nothing away from stanley thats a very impressive result.

funny you should say that , last year i told my other half that it will catch them up soon and today it looked that way

they should submit a report as mob fighting like that among kids at that age raises the concern how to separate them, parents on the side can not intervene and have to watch in horror their kid being set upon, nightmare scenario

Great performance by my lads (Stanley u10's), very pleased with our defensive effort. It was commented on after the game yesterday that when we play Stanningley it will be explosive to say the least. They are quickly gathering a reputation for being extremely tough and uncomprimising! I cant really offer an opinion as we only played them at home last year, and although they were an aggresive side, they were not over the top.

final score from tonights re-arranged u10s game was

a very tough game in which i thought we were second best for the majority of the game with lane in a determined mood, but we found a way to win scoring the winning try with about 5 minutes to go and then having to defend well to hang on.

V. Suprised at the Cas derby game tonight . Spoke to the Lock Lane coach earlier this year after we played them and he thought that it was too
big a step up for his lads to play in the top division - but fair play to them , they must have improved big style !
