Eeerm, Murphy a couple against Bradford, Petersen 2 against Leeds that were certain tries.....it happens
Grix scored has scored a couple from chips like that recently and is actually taking the kickoff position for catch high ball so I don't think I agree with you and JK evidentally doesn't either. |

If we have Obst & Drew interchanging at hooker with Latu at loose forward there isn't a need to use JD to make up the numbers in the pack. Last week he alternated between 6 & 13 at the scrum depending on field position.
I firmly believe that JD is fast approaching the end of his playing days at Belle Vue & we need to look to the future. IMO the only "justification" for his selection for most of this season is that fact that he's club captain & that simply isn't a good enough reason to pick someone no matter who they are. At the moment there are at least 17 players performing better than JD and we clearly have to play our form players against Saints.

IMO the only reason to select JD at 6 ahead of Grix is because he's "captain" and that isn't a good enough reason to select anyone. In short, Hendo & JD to miss out from the 19.
Now I'm off to see where I packed the flak jacket when I moved to Surrey on Monday!!!

A loose forward is going to make more tackles & tackle busts than a winger in any game, but given that I'm suggesting that one of them plays at stand-off the stats don't really mean anything. |

I appreciate what you are saying, just think Korki has had a good impact recently in the first 20, when the tempo for the half can be decided 'so to speak', also think maybe Sam's current kicking form could push Saints back a bit early doors. IMHO the longer we are in the game, the more we will believe we can beat them, and possibly go on to do so  |

As for JD playing Stand off he would handle that no problem.
I am his harshest critic and i have seen a fair few games this year and whilst he has not been as explosive as he was at centre i feel that he is playing pretty well given the game plan we seem to be playing nowdays.
Dont worry about the flak jacket mate, eveyones got their opinions

when moved grix to standoff late in the game he came up with a try and made some very good and important tackles on the saints players. his best position IMO.
