| That was too close for comfort, but only agreeing on what has previously been said on here, it made a pleasant change to see such an atmosphere at Belle Vue like there was in the last few (or should that be phew?) minutes...

| Well done to Wakey-Just got back down south!!
A very pleasant afternoon in the sun. A game that could have gone either way. Both teams seemed intent on playing a very conservative game. Your kicking resembled what we usually do- I was surprised Brough didn't put a few up into the sun as we had a 19 year old a full back. You nearly scored from the one he did put up.
Both teams need to improve if either wants to impact on the play offs.
For Wakey I suspect these are the sort of points you would have been targeting-and got!!
Any thoughts on Silverwood? He seemed to give a lot of penalties against both sides -some spurious to say the least!!

| yes i thought we were cliff thorburn/ peter ebdon /steve davis esque today always going for the safety option trying to drill the ball into touch instead of the high bomb against an inexperienced full back but we didnt play well offensively but got the 2 points

| There have been many comments about it being a dull match but I thoroughly enjoyed it, even prior to the last second drama. Although Trinity should have had the game wrapped up the close score made the game much more entertaining knowingthe next score would win. The noise levels at the end were deafening and I’m sure the rest of Wakefield must have heard the roar as first Grix dived over before Brough landed the conversion. Shame for the rest of the match all was fairly quiet.
The crash ball is something Trinity need to work on. With the benefit of numerous penalties towards the end they wasted 16 or so tackles just trying to burst through a well organised defence. As things became desperate they gave it some air and it paid off.
Other then that I thought they played OK and more importantly it was a much needed win given the schedule over the next few weeks.

| Grix did really well to take that final pass. It was a shocker, somewhere below knee height. Great kick from Broughy too.
At 12-6 we were well in control of the game until a silly penalty (Winterstein?) gifted Quins some easy yards and a foothold in our half. Until then it had been a perfect game plan, playing all the stuff down at the Quins end.

to be fair the players seemed to be messing at the play the ball a lot, maybe due to how fecked some of the big lads were in the heat.
