Yes they do even if it's just silly things like speeding tickets etc. But what Bird has done is cowardly and 8 months for glassing a women or anyone for that matter is not long enough.

I think it's more that their cases are in the public eye. Generally the public feeling in most cases, celebrity or otherwise, is that sentences are not harsh enough.

For a 'family' sport, I think that chant is very crass and not needed at Belle Vue.

If most of our fans got their way the only chant that would be sang is "Wakefield, Wakefield, Wakefield" Or none at all.

My opinion is on Bird, and I think its about the same as Latu, not very high IMO, and no you dont need my permission to comment, as I am sure you dont need anyone's permission to go out of your way to cause as many arguments as possible on the Cas Forum, but hey! im sure your only joking

It does yeah, but as ever on the forum all the negatives get picked out.

The songs we sing that support the team out weigh the ones that don't by a long way.

I am so fed up of the "Wakefield, Wakefield, Wakefield" I don't bother joining any more. That is the only chant some people join in with, if you start something else they look at you as if your singing in Spanish.

When did RL make the shift to a family sport? I heard no worse when i was a lad 18/19 year ago as I do now.

I hear much worse from the older generation having a go at the players, so the singing is no worse.

The reason I loved going to the away games is for the atmosphere at the ground and pubs, like Cas away this year. Thats how away games should be



We normaly take a good following to Hudds so let's hope it's another vocal one too and people join in with more chants that just "Wakefield, Wakefield, Wakefield"

So its just the internet judges' you are annoyed with then, not the ordinary fans on the terraces' what probably say the same but unfortunatly do not have access to a pc. Lets just say for arguments sake that it was some young delinquent what did it he would most likely have got a few years for it, but because its some RL star with plenty of money to hire good lawyers he only gets what he got. Ateotd he thrust a weapon into a defencless woman's face, how you can defend a sentence like that and at the same time pour scorn on people with cheap sarcasm what offer much more damming opinions' than yourself is beyond me. Without being personal I wonder if your thoughts' might alter if it had been somebody closer to home. And as for the justice system sometimes the punishment does not fit the crime.

How can you have a fair view on the sentence/crime if you don't have full access to the case as the judge obviously has?

I'm not defending the sentence, I'm pointing out how I'm fairly sure an experienced judge, in possesion of the full facts of the case, will have a better idea on what is or isn't a fair sentence then people on a message board going, "he doesn't play for us, he should be locked up for life."

That judge was in fact was a local magistrate and not some high court bigwig you would have us believe and in all probability did not have the experience of a Judge but I am sure you will imform me as you seem to know plenty about the case. If you are not defending the sentence then what are you doing.

I am defending the justice system. Whether they were a magistrate or the Chief Justice, they were aware of more of the facts of the case than you or I, hence why I'm more likely to trust their judgement than those on here!

And all them lot have moved on... Serious though I have never seen some people get of there seats faster than what they do to join in with the Wakefield chant.
