Quote="Wakefield No 1"Never seen as many people at a car boot sale!!!! they even had to put selling cars into the park opposite the cricket club, which they have never done before. We got there at 5am! and people had set up there stalls already! We managed to get right in the corner next to the railway line and car garage because there was such a line of people there. One thing that freaked me out was one guy and a couple of others were 'casing' our stuff as we got it out of the car just after 5..
with that guy going round and checking out the back of the car to see what we had, he kept coming back...
Anyway that said we had a good but long time selling and managed to raise £70 for the Adam Watene fund with one older gentleman from Barnsley buying all my programmes that was left for £50!! so apologises if you came after that and found none left!
We'd like to thank the cricket club for not charging for the pitch, a guy who just came up and donated £5 to the fund, Norman Hazell who put it in his column in the Wakey express AND turned up and bought some stuff. Anybody I've missed thank you too.
