Rooney had a stormer - great game after a long abscence and no doubt more to come. And as for comments like JD needs a good rest - to be replaced by who? It is apparant that we have big problems with injuries - players returning when idealy they would have more recouperation time and players playing with injuries - the reason this is happening is because we are down to the bones and the club still has the ambition and belief that we are a play off side - all credit to them.

No it wasn't, there was nothing up with Wilkes' eye last week n it's a fresh one he had this week

I didn't say that Rooney played badly - just that I don't think we should keep him for next season. He may have played well against the league's bottom side, but over the last 18 months he hasn't performed well enough against the top sides. As I said in a post after the Quins game - the only other SL side I can see wanting Rooney is Celtic. perhaps he was playig a bit more in the shop window



As for JD having a rest, he could be replaced at LF by Fergy/Grix/Latu with Moore/Pitts/Bibb/Winterstein filling his place for a week or two.

Good call on both counts.
We have to think about whats best for WTW in the long term and i don't see JR to have that big a future. but thats only my view & may not be the view special one.
