| OK, no club is made of 100% saintly individuals, but Drogba's and Ballack's behaviour last night was totally unacceptable. Not only did they make themselves look like the idiots they are in front of a worldwide audience, but they've shamed even a club that didn't have that much integrity to start with and just shows how shallow football can be sometimes when it really wants to be, dozy referee an' all. So much for that "RESPECT" campaign, eh. The only solution, is for Manchester United and Barcelona to put on the blinding final that the fixture deserves.

| Quote ="Murgan"And Ronaldo speaks to the ref like an angel does he? I'm not saying what Drogba does is right, but to say he's worse than Ronaldo is a bit short sighted.
Surely laying on the tackle for any amount of time is bending the rules. I doubt it says in the rule book that players are allowed to lay on the tackled player until the ref tells him to get up.
Bending the rules is a part of the game.
Everyone remembers Lee Jackson's tap try for hull against leeds (when he hid the ball and ran downfield as the penalty kick was taken) i would personally love a wakefield player to do that and get us a try.
Are you saying you'd rather that play be brought back and a penalty given against wakey for ungentlemanly conduct?'"
All I ask is for players to play to the rules. There is nothing wrong with that!!!
As for Ronaldo, he has got better. Don't forget it's an opinion so get off your high horse lad.
Laying on in the tackle is up to the ref on the day to decide, so not really cheating IMO. Different refs allow longer times it seems. You can't control that but jumping on the floor acting like you have been shot is not right what so ever.
Why would I want a Wakey player to cheat? It's not sporting like and just makes the sport look stupid

Agreed, Drogba has lots of upper body strength for a football player if he used that more often he would me a absolute quality player. On the occasions he does do it he is top drawer and poses a bigger threat than any of striker in the league

| Drogba's diving through the years cost Chelsea the game, because there is always a doubt. I'm surprised he can walk down the street without falling down. I laughed my socks off last night.
Mind you, there are a few Super League players who have the button in the middle of their back; you know, they are getting up to play the ball and they feel a hand on their back. Both legs kick out, their head goes back, all the time grimacing and looking at the ref. Or the gripping the player trying to get off him to con a penalty, or the deliberate stripping to make it look like a knock on. Or there is the throwing the ball away when they go dead (you know, the one that got Halpenny sin-binned).
Let's not get holier than thou about this. Super League players cheat all the way through games, and they get in the face of referees (particularly the Rhinos players). The one thing they don't do is feign injury.
Unless you're Danny McGuire trying to make it look like you've been high-tackled, or a Bulls player getting injured in front of the sticks so that his team have to wait drop it out.

| I was trying to think of any RL players who try the gamesmanship tactic and could only really tar Danny McGuire with that brush.
Regarding Chelsea; I did think they were stitched up to ensure there wasn't an all English final again but they had sufficient play and chances to get a better cushion than 1 goal.
In the 1st leg Tierry Henry was disgracefull! He pretended to be unconcious and actually allowed someone to put him in the recovery position and check his airways! That's Football!

TV commentators once said that Stuart Fielden gains more penalties for his side than any other player in super league, always at the ptb, always falling over and usually on the 5th tackle

| Remember Dave March taking a dive at Salford making out he had been headbutted at the play the ball sky replays showed he wasn't even touched. It happens in all sports and is sadly tolerated in most sports which is why you get reactions like those of the chelsea players.

Lets not kid ourselves how many players take a fall at the play the ball looking for a penalty?
