Isn't it strange that when it was rumoured we were signing Danny the forum was full of folk saying what a bad signing it was and bagging the Club now it's rumoured he might be leaving the forum is full of folk bagging the Club for possibly letting him go!

Has Brown actually said "! want to sign or we are going to sign Danny Brough" though. As far as I from what I've heard and read he's only said "Of course I'm interested in signing quality players for the club" and didn't specifically mention Brough or anyone else by name. Journalists questions and answers are more often than not distorted and to a certain extent fabricated. don't know when Broughs contract is up but is his agent stirring up interest to get him a better contract when the time comes whether it is at Wakey or for whoever wants to stump up the most dosh ????

Look at the successful sides in the SL era and one thing that stands out is that they have all had at least one quality British h/b, if we lose brough we will go back to relying on imports as play makers, and as such will lose any stability that the squad has in that area, a very backward step IMO if we let him go.

but if he is not happy, whats the point in keeping him. we know what that can do to a team and i don't mind where they come from , as long as they are good.

I think alot of supporters would be bothered.... and would rather have a player of Danny's ability in the team than a few quid in return....he is one of the best players around at the moment and though the team play well without him they play very well with him....

if he wants to go,let him go. no point in hanging on to a player that wants to move on. just disrupts the team and imo they play wery well without him. one man does not make a team, we have learned that lesson with sol.

Where have you seen a report saying he's not happy? if this deal goes ahead it will be purely for financial reasons, and we should all mind where the players come from because relying on imports will only get us where we have been for the last ten years, struggling to compete for a mid table position, I want a bigger future for the club than that and you don't get it by off loading your best British players and replacing them with 2nd rate foreigners coming over for a couple of years to top up their retirement funds

We have five players who can competently play on the wing, the fact that most of them are injured is irrelevant, we are not talking about this week or next, we are talking about building a competitive team for the future and IMO we should be building a team around him not shipping him out at the first opportunity, I assume that you have been a Wakey fan for some years, and as such would be very naive to believe that any money received for the sale of Brough would be spent on team building.

The sum of Brough's talents regardless of his sometimes disruptive behaviour is far more than any money that we'd get for him simply because there aren't adequate players out there to replace him with.
