We are the biggest city in Europe not to have a pro football team, with the right launch and marketing in a new 12000 capacity ground the team could (in theory) take off!
With an aspiring football team working with the community trust we would never need another resident rugby league team, SL or Championship.'"
I'am with you Sandle cat, their is no reason why we couldn't have a good football side putting Wakefield on the map too, last year we was getting about 60 people on average but this year we had 150, hopefully we hope to increase the crowed every year,I only started watching them last year, a great bunch of lads the fans and we are as loud and proud after all we are all Wakefield fans, I loved it on weekend when the Wildcats and The Bears both won makes me proud to be from Wakefield.  |

So i don't see where any friction could come from.
Both clubs are going to have to work with community trust, a body set up to provide sporting opportunities and facilities to everyone in the district.
By it's very nature i assumed the community trust would have looked for other sporting bodies within our city to share the new facilities in order to push sport in the Merrie city forward into the 21st century, whatever sport you play.
At the end of the day the more people we can get on board with this the more it becomes a reality.

I know we're talking about a premiership club here - and they have their own rules - but it matters not whether they 'own' the stadium or not - the rules of the premiership are that each club must have 'first call' on the use of the stadium.  |

We should stop talking about cas sharing with us, if we had to share with them at Glasshoughton we wouldn't like it. Lets concentrate on ourselves and hopefully good sports facilties for the Wakefield district at the Stanley site. If they had no other option, then using the site would be an option but leave them to there own plans.

I think with the economic climate at the moment you mite end up sharing with cas, no of the clubs chairmen have said NEVER they keep saying they have no plans to groundshare which says you mite have to but you dont want too.

I have no wish to lose Cas or there fans ora guaranteed 4 points a season. However to see them well below us and when it finally dawns on the Cas public to see Wright and his low life mates chased out of town will be a joy.
I can't tell you how dispicable the behaviour of Cas has been to Wakefield and Fev through the years, for a while some of them really felt they were the =redmaster race.'"
