I feel that the general feeling at Wakey hasn't been that good since they started serving beer throughout the match. There is a significant increase in drunk people in the ground and that is intimidating to a lot of people, especially when it is youths who get aggressive.

I haven't been for quite a while due to the intimidatory feeling that seeps in - not something I want to encounter when travelling 250 miles round trip. No wonder a number of people stay away permanently.

Its not just Wakey fans though, its the whole of society. But I think that Wakey serving alcohol throughout the match is fuelling the fire.

Maybe, few where I stand get p!ssed BUT they don't become aggressive or anything but you can buy beer at any ground.

I have never had a problem with drunk Wakey fans at Wakey. It tends to be that folk make a day of it for match days and therefore it is generally 'away' fans who have a problem - whether Wakey or otherwise.

Only time I've had a problem at Wakey is with FC fans - just a few mind, but they were intimidating - especially to the kids around us - and the stewards were, as ever, useless!

Whatever you may think of the stewards at KR at least they look the part and do their job unlike those at Wakey who seem to turn a blind eye to any potential trouble.

That is true,I went to the Wakey v Wire game their was a guy stood next to me with his sons one about 18, the others must have been 11, these so called wakey fans kept walking by them saying we are going to bang you, the boy turn to his dad and said,I think iam going to get jumped, they came back and jumped him, his dad helped protect him, but when it ended these other guys grown men behind them didnt like the idea of this dad protecting his son, so they said to the dad I will fight you, the man jumped up and down screamed some abuse throwing his beer bottle down to the ground and siad come on you and me, luckly the man with his sons just blanked him.
People like this should get a ban for life.

got to agree the stewards at BV are a waste of time and are fine telling kids to get off the wall (not disagreeing before i get jumped on) but for anything else they are crap .

Just to clarify, its not just specifically our fans, its fans in general when alcohol is available. I think its a shame that people cant go 40 minutes without a drink - can't they just concentrate on the game?!

I agree, but it's the easiest problem in the world to solve, clubs just need to close the bars at K.O and think a bit more about the social problems they cause and less about how much money they can take from selling beer, or just sell soft drinks if people are thirsty.

i enjoy having a drink and watching the game, especially the Friday night games.

Those that cause the trouble tend to be the ones that get tanked up beforehand imo

The facilities for the away fans may not be up to standard. However, after two years in SL we are making strides to do something about it.

The facilities for home fans are as good as most of us want them to be - much more, I'm sure, than you can say about yours.

Obviously you aint allowed to criticise a player when he makes a mistake now. Matty missed 2 tackles that led to tries being scored. He was even ed off with himself, people were mearly commenting that he may have done better.

KR is IMO the worst ground in SL. I don't care what home fans are treated like at your place as when I come I come as an away fan
