I was told that a deal had been agreed although not yet signed but was expected to be finished this week hence clearing the quota spot so he could be registered for visa purposes. (This btw also comes from a pretty good mole.) Then the change of coach happened and with 14 sharks players off contract at the end of the season Fitzgibbon wants to review the roster before signing off on anything. Still seems quite optimistic it will happen but they’ll be a delay, but with him picking up a 3 week ban and then the challenge cup weekend following the rush isn’t as intense as it was. The deal was only for the rest of this season though.

That said i much prefer your version so i hope that’s right.

I say we hang fire on AF and save potential player funds for the new coach.

The only new coach we will get is a 53 seater to pick up the remaining home supporters if we continue to play like we have for far too long.

Heard nothing but I don't think the club announced it really. It was leaked out to the press via the team bus and since then the club have downplayed it without actually denying it.

That's my understanding, if he was to come over now he wouldn't be available for selection as he would have to quarantine so that would push his ban out a couple of weeks.

Think he has 2 games left of the suspension.

He's not here yet because he hasn't signed yet. Chesters latest inview today tallies pretty much with what i heard last week and put on here, that the change of coach has delayed things as Fitzgibbon wants to review the entire roster before signing off on decisions and the interim coach has said he has a clean slate for this year once his ban is done, so if he gets back in their team after it's over i doubt we'll be seeing him. If he remains in the reserves then we might just see him late May.

According to Chezzie in today's Wakefield Express, it was Andrew who initially asked Dave if we would be interested in signing him. a couple of discussions have taken place but nothing has yet been finalised and he also has 3 kids in school in Aus to consider too.

Genuinely hope you are right. My info was it was agreed but nothing was actually yet signed but time will tell. For what it's worth i think he'll be here but we might be looking at the Hull KR game at home at bestbefore we see him.
