I agree but, we go back to the people that applied for the coaching job when John Kear left and, at the time, Agar may well have been the best candidate.(I understood that Powell wasn't interested ?)
Of course, as fans of the club, we would all like Wayne Bennett or Tony Smith to coach Wakefield but, the reality is that, we are just not in the "big league".
Wakefield has been a struggling club for all of the 25-30 years that I have supported them and although we have qualified for the play off's on a couple of occasions, we have got to the brink on 3 occasions (the last on only 6-7 months ago) and because of this, we cannot expect to attract a top coach.
Therefore, we end up with someone of Agar's ilk or, we take a risk on an unproven young coach and in this context, Agar is probably less of a risk for the club than gambling with a young coach.

What id like to know is what do some people think agars credentials are don't think he ever played top class, played at Dewsbury, coached at feather stone lions got lucky when kear took him as assistant when kear was sacked was assistant with the new coach say no more about his time as head coach at hull' then us he hasn't been a success anywhere really as he

I remember listening to Agar at an audience with event early on in his time at wakefield, and he said then that he wanted a senior group of established SL players around the top end of the payscale (£100k area was mentioned)who would effectively "pick themselves" in his first team squad. I don't think he is minded to bring players through the ranks too much.

He seems more of a manager than a coach to me. I cant think of very many occasions where he speaks of tactics or gameplans at all .

Personnley i have no doubt agar should be gone now i would replace him till the end of the season with somone with who i admit only got little experiance but has done a pretty decent job but would come and except nothing but 110% and get the team pumped up......JD

Personally i would prefer Mr Blobby to Agar.

We can't afford to sack Agar otherwise I am sure we would have done it by now. He isn't going to walk away of his own freewill because if he was an honourable man I am sure he would have done it by now. Therefore we are stuck with him.
Doers he employ the wrong tactics ? Or are the players not performing the tactics he wants ? Either way he has to make the choice to change the tactics or change the players if they are not doing what he wants. Just continuing to do things that haven't worked and don't work is not good enough.

Respect your opinion,but im not convinced we cant afford to sack him.Only a couple of weeks ago MC was saying there was still monies available to sign a couple more players and we had offers out for them.

I like Agar, nice bloke and loves his rugby but his selections leave me scratching me head.

Mathers is not a winger as long as I have a hole in my booty, he shouldnt even be in the team. It reminds me of amateur teams where they stick the weakest player on the wing so to keep him out of the way.

Godinet started opening 8 games of the season at Scrum half, where he scored 6 tries and was forming a decent partnership with Sammut. Now he is an interchange hooker, with Sammut at Full back (sigh) and the godawful Siejka and bang average sykes forming our half backs.

Yesterday was a prime example of the effects of this, at no time when we got the ball did we ever look like putting a move together and creating gaps - it was turgid.

If we dont win both these next two games get shut! If do win them get shut at the end of the season. Better to pay him off and get some debt now rather than lose more fans for the long term. Could Webster step up to the role?

Not sure about our respective knowledge levels but you only had to look at Warringtons set piece kicking yesterday, everything haring towards the sideline along the deck or at least chance of bouncing out. Even if it gives a few more meters it puts more pressure on the defenders and gives you a chance to retain possession.

At the end of the season maybe, not sure mid season is a good idea to get rid of a coach especially with the position we are in at the moment.

Its never a good idea mid season that's very true but what if we lose the next two games though, what do we do then because it could be too late.

Morrison and JD don't have the necessary experience either so not them

I don't think Morrison or JD have the experience but one is a former State of Origin player and the other one has Trin in his blood.
These two although green would command respect and get players motivated due to their differing career paths.
At the risk of going over very old ground, RA doesn't seem to have the necessary experience at this level but has been given ample time to prove it.

Fairly pointless poll - you could have 100 % saying GO but makes no difference - the club will never sack him and he won't resign.
