I have seen TL play in the under 20's was impressed by the lad however he did look a bit on the small size
seems he's come from Bradford, persuaded by Glenn Morrison I believe.

He looks relatively short but as wide as he is tall; he'll no doubt pack muscle on as he gets older, so could be a real handful.

A bit like the "barrel chested" Steve Pitchford who played at Leeds, he was a handful.

Imo he would be a complete waste of money. Were better getting James back and give him a chance, it'll be a lot cheaper thats for sure.

James, fielden or lilycrop. Any of these real props will do. No more second rowers at prop please.

Pull James back before going for Fielden for heavens sake hes had his day and even then Baz Mac showed that a good hard smack had him out of the game.

Bring Fielden over on a months loan, if he cuts the mustard then extend, if he's gash ship him back. No brainer, and will do no harm what so ever.

Fielden has got some good rugby left in him - it might do his confidence good to become a senior prop at a club like ours and provide him with an opportunity to play for a contract; if it's on offer, we should bite their hand off.

McCarthy-Scarsbrook seems to be out of favour at Saints, worth a punt? Younger than Fielden and is out and out prop.

CORRECT. I think there isn't much wrong with the players we have at the club already but they are struggling as they are lightweight and lacking in genuine props. 1 to 7, or whatever numbers they are these days, in particular, are labouring behind a beaten pack and end up chucking risky balls out wide in our own third, or forcing passes elsewhere in desperate attempts to make ground the forwards can't make. Our recruitment was fatally flawed as we are 2 props and a decent goalkicker short of a balanced side, which is a pity because, as I say, I think the players we have are pretty good, it's the props that aren't there which is the problem.
