How we got here doesn't really matter, what matter's is that every effort is now made to ensure it's success.
I couldn't believe it got called in, but a conversation with someone on Sunday over lunch, who clearly new a lot about the situation, both in relation to NM and in general, made it clear it was always likely to be called in any way.
I can't believe it won't get passed on (or before) the 19th, but as explained in the previous sentence, i clearly know very little!!!
Let me put it this way, i think getting a positive decision from the SoS, will be a huge relief, but making NM work and be viable for all those that presently use BV, will still be a big (if not bigger) challenge.
But better to be half way to a brighter future, than nowhere, at least initially, and its not like we have any choice , so let's see how we roll!!

As for the "build it and they will come" being on shaky foundations, is there anywhere that a new ground in the top flight hasn't improved attendances. Although Salford are not getting the crowds they wanted, they are getting better crowds than at The Willows, and the new ground is an awful place to get to. St Helens have got average gates that match the very best now, much better than Knowsley Road, which I thought was a cracking little ground.

For all we diehards love the old grounds, its the ones who aren't diehards we need to attract. We have to cater for those who want to sit on plastic seats. And as much as I love Belle Vue, I don't take my kids because they don't get a good view. I have taken them to all-seaters, because I can sit with them, tell them about the game, share the Haribos, etc.

The only thing to avoid is getting a big soulless one, like the Galpharm, but Newmarket looks about right.

From what I can recall of the plans, there is to be a concourse around three quarters of the stadium which permits changing of ends, as the terracing with be at either end, if there is any scope to switch this so the terracing is along one side rather than at each end I think the club should ask the designers to go for it.

It would be nice to follow the Warrington design, thats the way forward imo.
