Heres how it works Glover buys the ground tells the RFL gets a mortgage on it and tells the RFL he has the funds to do it up which he can show with the mortgage, you get a license most of the plans go on the back burner till Glover sees if Newmarket gets built then he can sell the ground and make a profit. Newmarket does not get the go ahead then it is decision time does he use the mortgage or walk away.

Or the RFL do not fall for it and you put into championship one, the plans get put on the back burner as you do not need the stadium and you wait for Newmarket, if new market does not come off again it is decision time!

This would suggest he has been working on the plans since the start of the year, and therefore was on the application. By waiting until now to announce this, he gives our closest rivals little or no time to adapt their own plans accordingly. I'm still not confident we'll be in Super League next season, as I don't trust the RFL in the slighest and the goalposts still have time to be moved again. But by making tonights meeting so public, Andrew Glover has put greater pressure on the Rugby League, who will have a much tougher job explaining their decision should they choose not to give us a license.

How different is that to the position Cas are currently in?

All I want to know is.

1. Has this plan been incorporated in the Licence bid?

2 Will the building work be completed before the beginning of the 2012 season?

That reads that it will be completed, maybe it is in the Licence bid, if so, it gives us a damn sight more chance than at any time since N.M was pulled in.

Well mate if thats the case we are both out and Fax are in because if i am being honest i think you are a cert for the drop and any 11th hour anouncments will just drop on deaf ears with the RFL, I do not meen this as a stir but it is my honest opinion.

And that's when we'll find out if Glover is any different to Richardson. If they are temporary stands, as others have suggested in the past, it shouldn't be a problem having them up for February. If not, then yes, I agree. But I don't get the point of permanent stands if we are to go ahead with Newmarket.

my understanding was always that for any new ground/redelveopment to count towards the next franchise period then it had to be finished or at an advanced stage of construction at the time the franchise bids were submitted. Neither this scheme or Cas's fulfil that criteria so dont count towards either of your franchise bids. goes down to other criteria now like youth, onfield and finance IMO.
