Arundel has been unlucky with injuries and his continued presence in the squad may limit the opportunities for Croft who needs more game time.
Similarly Tangata and Navarette offer nothing more than Aydin and Gwaze who are younger and hungrier and have potential (probably cheaper too).
Wages saved toward a proper 7 and 9 !

| Seen Danny Orr is leaving Cas at the end of the season, would be a good acquisition to our coaching staff although I assume that he has a HC role lined up somewhere.

Yes, why would D O swap an assistant SL job for another, head coach at a lower league club would be the probability.

| The thing that stands out to me regarding Chesters latest comments, is the fact that he intends to recruit quality. Well I don't know if he has worked out yet that players perceived as quality have agents who can find them quality clubs. If a quality player comes to the market then the likes of Wigan,Wire,Saints, Hull Leeds Catalan are the clubs he would choose. Should he not get a gig with them ,then he has to look at the rest and out of all that group Wakefield must be the bottom of the pile right now, So Mr Chester, good luck with finding quality because you are going to have to do an hard sell to get them or alternately offer them far more than the top clubs are willing to pay.
Secondly for those that are happy to stick with Chester in the hope that poachins arrival will answer many of the problems , here is one to ponder. A good coach should be able to work well irrespective of his assistant. If it takes a good assistant to put things right, then the coach is obviously doing things wrong, so why is he being employed.

| If I was a player the last club I would want to play for would be Wakefield Trinity with Chester in charge, just being honest after Chester has thrown them all under the bus to the media and taken zero responsibility for our performances, if we think that potential incoming players aren't going to look at that when looking at which club to sign for then we are wrong.
Thankfully there are quality coaches out there that will see the value in the players that Chester is throwing under the bus and wanting to get rid off, players like Pauli who whilst hasn't set the world alight looks 100 times better than he ever looked in his time with us.

Oh please don't start the Pauli Pauli think. His issues are nothing to do with coaching. He isn't that much better at Salford, they just have a team that can cover him while they get to the line for his crash ball. He did that for us when he wanted to, then stopped wanting to. That's his personal issue and you'd be one of the first moaning about it if we hadn't shipped him out.

As I said in my post he hasn't set the world alight but I have seen him play a lot better in a Salford shirt than I have in a Wakefield shirt, I am not too sure how anybody can argue with that? He looks a lot fitter as well, or I am guessing the 4 stone weight loss was probably just a coincidence in your view? Funny how you latch on to that one part of my post and not question the rest of it. Because you know it is right and there is no excuse for it.

Well I thought he was absolutely dreadful for us tbh, he couldn't get in our starting 17 and yet he gets picked and scores in a challenge cup final. Played on average 54 minutes a game for Salford since he signed for them also, so I would say yeah a lot better in every aspect of his game IMO.

Disagree.
For a start as many have said - he's lost weight.
He has a coach who uses him correctly and who - along with the club - wanted him.
As for a personal issue, I think he was thrown under the bus like others in the squad.

I don't get it.
If he's so bad, how does he get in the Salford team?
And dont say the others are "carrying him" the coach wouldnt put up with it.
Also, he's picked the aforementioned (apparently) better coach than we the one we have?

You can blame the coach all you want - and I'm not saying he's faultless - I don't understand a lot of what he does, but I remain unmoved that SOME of the players could put more into it.
As for Pauli He looks a bit more interested at Salford, perhaps if he had been for us he wouldn't be there?

| I'm not sure of any players leaving the club that didn't want to so to say they were thrown under a bus seems a bit dubious. As for Pauli maybe people should find out the real reason why he behaved as he did and why he wanted to leave or just maybe why he had to go. Just sumising is not the way and it's not for me to tell you what you obviously don't know but it seems blaming the coach is the easiest solution. Dear oh dear we are becoming so predictable.

The losing weight bit isn't a coaching thing though.
I accept Watson is an exceptional coach and the evidence shows he's better than Chester, certainly right now anyway but I don't imagine Watson is asking him to do any more or less than Chester did.
However it ended up that way he didn't want to be part of the team. That's all of it, not just, Chester. Maybe he likes the stadium better. But either way the decision to let him go was clearly the right one if the ability was in him and he chose not to use it at Wakefield.

I think we have discussed the issue in this thread and he wasn't the only one with the "issue" who has left.

| It could be because he knows what to expect of him rather than the adhoc approach we currently adopt. He ran a lot of dummy lines which due to his size also causes the defence to react leaving space for others. The Chester apologists can explain why we appear to have only one move which is the ball back inside which no longer fools any team, well not for the last two seasons.
It’s also strange how any players that leave is the correct decision and is further proof the success of Chester as a coach. Let’s look at his recent signings Gigot (no comment), Kay (ok), Atkins (too old and carrying injuries), Green (could be good but gone backwards under Chester), Westerman (lost a lot but looks good in our current team) Kelepi (a good signing but played more often than not out of position), King (this will be interesting to see how he goes at KR) and I am sure many others.
Over to the usual suspects to defend Chester without actually saying anything but what would you do, in answer to that it’s simple sack Chester and the rest of his team.

It could be Orr as he didn't say he was leaving to better himself, just to pursue other coaching options.
May not be staying in rugby league though.

Perhaps a different insight from you would be far more constructive than unnecessary sarcasm, you could always start by pointing out the reasons you think he's wrong, that's assuming your not just relying on blind faith in the coach.

Things are only obvious to those that know the obvious, clearly fans obviously don't know what went on according to you anyway, other than a passing interest I doubt they really care anyway, the main thing is he's gone, maybe you could give an insight as to the reasons he left now that you've sat the fans on the horse but refuse to give them a ride, unless of course your one of those who just prefer to be perceived as in the know.
