The whole point is that the stand was NOT segregated. Fans were mixed in, including 2 large groups from each fan-base.

Segregate it properly i.e. NO AWAY FANS ON THE NORTH BANK.

Yes. There was a lot of false bravado and kn@bheads on both sides acting like jerks. To try pin it on either side more than the other is fruitless.

North stand should by home fans only, they could put a rail down each side with two stewards at each end only allowing home fans in, the sound was great up to trouble, once we have a home end we can get new fans on board, the Aim to fill it with old and new fans, get flags flying, and a sea of red white and blue... North Stand Home stand...

In the past no one has bothered about the "North Stand" and just look what happened when Mr Glover said "Go North", bloody mayhem. Why would you all want to have it as home fans only? RL is a family sport if you want segrigation go support Leeds UTD. Now that it has a roof and it makes the sound resinate out into the field we cant just claim it as a no go area for visiting fans. Get real do you want more of Friday nights violance?

I don't stand there anyway, never do and never will. But if anybody thinks that is this day and age you can stick two sets of tanked up fans next to each other and everything be sweetness and light then they are deluded. It pains me to say it but it just isn't like that anymore.

People should be able to stand where they want.I have stood on the west terrace for over 20 years so don't see why cos some fans want the north as the home stand we all have to go there cos they want away fans moving down the sides.I hate watching from behind the sticks but each to their own and stand where you want we are not animals.

North stand for me now instead of western terrace it's what belle Vue has needed for years.

Anymore scenes like last night and it will be the worst thing thats happened for years. The policy needs sorting and it needs to be policed rigourously.

I'm in the process of typing up an email to the club, so won't go into specifics. Neither side were blameless, both at times acted truly like a disgrace to RL, but this IMO stems from 2 CEO's who spend more time fighting with each other through the media & on occasions more underhanded political channels. Blame falls with BOTH those men, but ultimately with us as hosts.

My solution:

Work out the maximum number the north stand can hold (4000?). Barrier it off & man with security. Print simple tickets, to enter you show your ST/membership card & receive a ticket to get in, which you can use to enter/exit the stand as you wish throughout that particular game. Finally install CCTV throughout BV. Away fans are allocated tickets for the western terrace & have access to all facilities (with the exception of touchline bar) including new cover, away fans may also access the family area in front of eastern terrace.

The north stand needs to be reserved, the rest of the ground is essentially non-seg. Trin fans access all areas but have a reserved area. By restricting access to the north stand to ST/members we have a better chance of ensuring a inspiring & family friendly atmosphere- we'd have everyones name & address of needed!

what a load of ! How often do you here of trouble at a rugby game rare! But when you invite your own fans to take over the part of the ground were away fans have been welcomed to stand for years then you are asking for trouble! I think glover was badly advised by asking home fans to take over the north end, dont forget he's not from a rugby back ground he does'nt know the rivalry

The thing is that this sort of thing will carry on no matter what sadly.
