Words do truly fail me. I think that the Wakefield Express editor clearly has issues and an agenda with the club and it would appear to me to be becoming ever more apparent. Haven't bought it for years and never will, they printed lies about me years before and printed something not too long ago that put my family at serious risk after we gave evidence against a child rapist who is extremely popular in the community.

I really think we should all let them know are feelings on this NOW, this is probably the most important and positive week in the clubs history and in a licence application year when we need to be putting out the right message this is what they come up with. Does any one think that we should have waited until it was sorted before we signed him? The club is often described as being a 'family club'.

We sent a picture of Crigg u11's to the paper back in November of the team in their new kit .Still hasn't been printed despite ( after numerous e-mails) being told 3 times that it would be in . Told it was lack of space , but in the last month alone there's twice been full pages all about Leeds Utd including a big picture of a goal scorer - can someone explain what the f this has to do with Wakefield ? If you want this you'd buy the Evening Post - if you want local Wakefield sport then you'd buy the Express surely ?? - or is it just me

If I were Mr. Glover, I'd pass the WE article to my solicitors. It attempts to denegrate the club/business by association with something that has yet to be proven in a court of law.

Due to the recent Wakefield Express headlines relating to a recent signing by Wakefield Trinity,I feel that I must insist that you carry out your duties and EDIT the paper before it goes to press.Surely you cannot have done on this occasion,were you on holiday ?
...or on a day off ?
....perhaps you do not support the Cities leading sporting team,but you should at least show some support in light of the current turmoil that the club has been through,negative press is the last thing that the club need at this time.
I appreciate that nothing sells papers better than a scandalous report,but beware Mr Bradley,you are upsetting the very people that buy your paper and pay your wages,wake up ,sit up and take stock of what is going to print, and think of who you are working for..........the people of Wakefield !
I suggest you take stock of this and no doubt the other e-mails you get from your papers readers relating to this article,remember......YOU are responsible for what is printed in our Citys local paper,and ultimately YOU should be ashamed of the lack of support that you have shown to a good percentage of your patronage.

I have been buying this paper all my life for right or wrong, but will never purchase it again, disgraceful !

just sent e mail to the editor to say i will no longer buy it.

should get some t shirts printed and sell them in the shop!

I used to look forward to getting the wakefield express on a friday morning to read on the train on the way to work.... I left wakefield in 94 but would still avidly read the express everytime I visited my parents.

Then a change happened... the stories became less and less supportive of the club. The newspaper didnt seem to represent the fans in their presentation... somehow Leeds united bacame a fixture in the pages... (why not Barnsley FC its nearer for gods sake!)... the general presentation of the paper became trashier, and sensationalist... real local stories were given the tabloid treatment. now the newspaper is low brow, unconnected to the city residents, and in no way supports the city in the way a local paper should...

The editor has to take responsibility for this...

Agree with Spock on this, i will buy it again if it ever returns to being a local newspaper, i have often wondered why there is no Barnsley coverage when Leeds gets so much space.

Paper boycotts do work. The Sun is still not bought on Mersyside.

I know its a local rag but isn't it right that someone who has been involved in such action is condemned for it?

and also taking great delight in bringing down Wakefield the City, and Trinity the Club, whenever it got the slightest opportunity.

Hope the whole apology for local news and views dies a very quick death.

I have been buying the Wakefield Express all my adult life, as my Dad did before me. After seeing Tomorrows headline (25/02/2011) I no longer think this 'paper' is for me and will no longer be purchasing it. The only reason this is a headline story is because of the turmoil WAKEFIELD trinity have been through in recent weeks. There is such a positive story you could have wrote.

I do not buy tabloid papers for the very reason I will no longer buy the Wakefied Express.

Woooooaaah, smart. Condemned? Has he been proven guilty? What do you know about it? That's right.... sod all.

Why should this denegrate the name of the club? It clearly does, as the lead header implicates such. It seems clear to me that the editor has been negligent in his/her duties.
