i think you're all harsh on BJ, to me and my family he's a commited player and on saturday did all he could considering he was paired with a younger halfback who had less experience. honestly though, if kear plays jeffries at 6 and obst at 7 i think that is a good combination

I was glad to see him go last time and to re-sign him was a mistake, we do not have the numbers to have passengers, only putting it in every now and then ,nice bloke. His end of season report should have have read " has all the promise and should do better " pity really. I was not there on saturday so can offer no view on his game ,it really only counts once we kick off the new season !!!playing blinders in a warm up game is all good and well but you get no points for it ,he will get my support up tothe point he fails to deliver ! same for the rest of the team being 100% and crap is no use to anyone ,happy new year to all

it all comes down to the pack,if were getting bashed up you can play who you want there and it wont make no difference. were not blessed with players who can make breaks so they have to try to make things happen themselves. bj is a top of the ground player and if we give him a platform hes a half decent player. no go forward, no field position, no ball for the backs

With fans like this we really don't deserve a team, wether you agree with the signig or not, the players should be able to rely on support from the fans. You could sign 2 world class half backs bit if those players don't gel then you end up with the same result, Ben has showed great skills many times and I am certain that if Brough had stayed last year there would be more praising Ben. I did not agree with the signing when he came back but whilst he is here he will have my backing. Supporters should show support not try to make players feel worse about themselves, as far as I am concerned if you call yourself a supporter you should do that.

Doesn't mention anything about slagging of the people you are supporting, and that is what it comes down to its not a difficult concept to support, if you want to be a follower then do that just dont call yourself a supporter as you are clearly not.

and actually your totally out of your depth, the club dont need supporters they need followers,

most of the people in pubs will tell you they support wakefield, i follow them home and away every week have done for years,and you see followers, by means of attending games pay money, its basic economics but if you need any further help please come back.

For once i seem to be in agreement with Mopsey, all halfbacks need the forwards to lay the platform for them to be able to work their magic. If you look at all of the successful teams over the years they have all had very good packs and if you just take the super league era you have to look at Bradford who were dominant mainly due to the fact that they had the best pack around in the early and mid 2000's and also Leeds towards then end of the last decade had in my opinion the best set of forwards.

So to summurise i think that if our pack is dominant in a game then Jeffries will have a good game but if the pack is overrun then Jeffries will struggle and it is the same with all halfbacks not just BJ.

You and Mopsey are correct imo, still won't stop Ben copping it though.

mopseys not a mad man he speaks a lot of truth and has passion i totally agree halfbacks cant win a game alone they need a dominant pack to wear down the opposition get them on the back foot and allow them to play , last season early doors we did that with brough as his halfback partner taking more pressure off him he was sensational the first quarter of the season we allowed brough to go lost our go forward prop in tronc and it all went pop, cut the guy some slack he is an half decent player an even better one in a dominant side but he cant do it alone its a team game support him dont criticise him
