| I actually thought we were pretty good for the first 20 or so.
We dominated field position and possession.
The North Stand was bouncing and the atmosphere seemed to be being transferred onto the pitch, but we just couldn’t take advantage of it where it counts.
I think Lino put in a poor kick on the 3rd or 4th which gave them a 7 tackle set…then we gave away a penalty and it just all went very flat very quickly and it was downhill from there.

| I suppose it's how you define pretty good! Yeah we started with some intent, especially in defence, we had field position and possession......but like the other games, we just don't look like scoring! We don't take advantage of any situation, at any point in the games when things are in our favour.

Quite accurate. It was actually two penalties as well. When the team need to be resilient and get themselves back into the arm wrestle they can't quite seem to do so - not for a lack fo effort but usually it is by doing dumb things or making poor errors which compounds the lack of territory. Been quite unusual as whereas in some games our defence has looked good higher up the field in the midle of the pitch and not conceding many line breaks (e.g catalan, salford, cas etc) yesterday we were really sloppy and lazy at times and they scored several long distance tries.
Got to say for as much as Lino tries and people say he was head and shoulders our best player, for all the field position we had in the first 20 mins his end of set decisions and kick execution was horrible. I'm sick to death of us not forcing repeat sets or being able to drop a ball into the in goal.

What Lino needs is some help!
Seems he’s expected to kick in general play, kick goals and be the creator of all movement on the pitch.
Give the bloke a break. We need a stand off ( you know - we used to have one!) to take some of the workload off him.

| This might seem a bit of a weird post. But many years ago Grandstand used to show live 2nd half action of a Rugby League game every Saturday. For the last 50 years, I'd been promising myself I would get to a game. But never got around to it. Living 100+ miles away and following a football team every week saw to that.
On Sunday, I finally got to a game at last. After 30 minutes it felt like I might be a lucky charm, but obviously it came unstuck near the end of the first half and we ended up being run ragged in the end by Leigh.
But I just wanted to say that I loved the experience, standing on the North Terrace with everyone around me drinking beer, and I now consider myself a Trinity fan. I've jumped on the bandwagon at a low ebb, but sport is cyclical and it will improve. Played 9 lost 9 isn't exactly the best start to a season, but it's got to improve.
And yes, before anyone says, I must be bonkers!

Welcome, I know it's not the easiest time to come and watch the team, but glad you enjoyed the experience

Its usually the lower league's that don't disclose the attendance but I noticed HKR's attendance figures were the other super league club without details.

It’s always hell when dependant on beating the promoted side. But when recruiting less than them and the staff. Something will change.
