well this thread seems to have died a death with the weather and off field situation at Trin,

today Stanley Rangers U13s managed to get a game on against Dudley Hill thanks to our coaching staff working on the pitch to make it playable, sadly I missed the game due to work but was told that it was close, losing 10-nil they managed to turn it around and won 16 - 10.

tomorrow there's a game at Oulton in the Barla cup U13s against Hunslet Darkside, the two top teams of our league this will be worth watching

stick it up Oulton because if you don't we will

was a game full of errors both teams tried hard but you could tell noone had played for weeks. stanley looked in danger of getting a pasting in the first half down the hill but hung in there for the win. it dosent get any warmer up there either.

our lewis complained about the sun being directly in his eyes in the first half, pleased to hear he looked more alert than normal

training been broken so yes it would of had en effect on there performance

shame I wasn't there I would of come and had a chin wag with you

next week I think its the barla semi final against Normy

just got a text telling that Hunslet Darkside U13s got beat by Oulton Raiders in the barla cup this morning.

their impressive run of a couple of years undefeated has come to an end losing 18 - nil



sorry for laughing but their coach gave me some stick on their website when I posted that when we was close to beating them last time as we only lost it 10- 0 and had two tries disallowed, he didn't like to hear that other teams was catching up.

oulton played fantastic, totally outplaying hunslet from start to finish looked really well organised and just worked real hard for each other

they did the same to us at the beginning of the season,
they have a couple of lads in the pack that do a lot of yardage, one of them to watch is the long hair blond lad not very fast but hits the ball hard and his momentum is awesome,

my tip for the league is Oulton

won our 2nd game yesterday.i know thats not great but we had to start over last year and we have got a few lads who have never played before this season.have to say well done to scarboro for turning up as they havent been able to train.my son goes back to pinders on wednesday n might have his pot reduced.docs say he can play next season

we now play Oulton in the league this saturday away,

going to be hard game this one

and it was,
the game finished 32 -4 to Oulton Raiders as would be expected as they are now the team to look up to,
the first half Stanley Rangers U13 put up such a great effort that they ended that half 0-4 up getting in their faces forcing errors.

the second half just was not what we would of wanted, it started with a dubious try and then snow balled through the half as they gain momentum and confidence, we ran out of steam and frustration lead to players making mistakes and penalties,

two seasons ago we would of not been able to compete with teams like this but today they did.

Stanley Rangers U12's lost to East Leeds today, 30-6; Stanley started the game the better side, but heads went down after conceding a try against the run of play, and it went downhill from there. Been an unsttled period recently in terms of coaching and personnel, so no great surprise - got some rebuilding to do.

Apart from a couple of nasty punching incidents by East Leeds lads, they played a solid match and on performance, deserved to win.

wakey not the only team who have been hit with housing issues of late , Stanley younger groups ie.. 8s & 9s ect are at risk of losing the little field they play on .

this alerted my eldest to proudly announce that if he no ground to play on next year he would play for .........

the council are cutting back on all playing fields with increased rent for those that remain,which is a real shame when it gives kids a place to go.

i always remember stanley ferry has the first place i kicked a touchline conversion has a 10 year old,at the time it was like kicking it from the touchline at wembley only now i realise how small the pitch is

Stanley Rangers U13s Barla semi final this weekend against Normy Knights

great game that could of gone either way

Stanley Rangers U13 have reached the of the Barla cup final beating a much improved from the last time we played Normanton Knights side 12-2,

Normanton took the lead with a penalty early in the first half after us enduring a long session of intense pressure, it proved to be blessing that they didn't keep up the momentum as we could of easily cracked, 0-2 half time.

second half we took control with two converted tries but it was far from over as the knights didn't give up, to their credit they pushed to the final whistle.
