We stayed for the full 80, although we were in "the well" and tbf, by the time the hooter sounded, there was a maximum of 20 Trin fans left at the Grimsby end.
You actually saw the players turn to that end, as though they were going to walk over and applaud the fans and then they appeared to give it up as a bad job and head towards the tunnel.

May be he has got used to being suited and booted , as he was at the Catalans Game , wonder how much those loach shoes cost

Got to be honest we were in the well and left ten minutes before end as we were thoroughly hacked off with performance. Think mathers and team generally are very good at thanking the supporters but am sure that they were embarassed as us with their performance.

Another crappy week end in hull - at least when we played fc they were better than us across the park - against kr it was our lack of professionalism that was the difference between the two sides

I know of a young lady that idolised mathers before the game but has now lost all respect for him after snubbing us at the end, but he wasnt alone lee smith gave a half hearted clap and diappeard down the tunnel.
Those loakes shoes did shine victar, really stood out.

But equally at the last home game, Mathers walked over in his suit to wave and clap the fans, when he didn't have to.
Can't see the big deal. For all we know he may have needed treatment, he may have been gutted by the performance and distracted from the fans, he may just not see it as important to do that every single time.

Get a grip. It's a non issue.

I go to watch my team play rugby and i'd be more concerned if he was happy and smiling after that performance.

What a silly thread - I can't believe that after a heavy defeat, people are recriminating with a player about his choice of shoes; when we've lost, should he be forced to wear Crocs?

The absence of fans at the end should say it all to the players. Their performance warranted an empty end. Get down that tunnel, get to the video analysis and start to put your brains in gear please

Crocs suggest to me that the wearer has absolutely no self-respect.

I'd rather have a player walk off the pitch in a sulk because we've lost rather than smiling & clapping at the end after a horrid performance.......it shows that it hurst & he wants to win.

Couldn't agree more Mary. All that bloody well played and hand shaking after a bad result p s me off. I know you have to show sportsmanship but get it over and done with double quick, don't linger about and find time to have a friendly chin wag .

It will all be forgotten at 4pm on Saturday when he has a blinder for you guys against his former club. Mathers always plays well against Cas Tigers.
