I found it ironic that we moved the academy game so not to wreck the pitch but had kids games and that netball thing before kickoff

I agree the pitch not in best condition but its something we had to adapt to. But if last weeks conditions was anything to go by (catalans) we'll be a good summer team with some expansive rugby!

heartbreaking to see it in such a bad condition, stanley rangers pitch was rested this week and that too is normally lush, its been very poor weather

just seen the highlights on sky and it looks even worse looking down on it

I was speaking to one of the matchday volunteers afterwards and they said that towards the end of the previous reign no money was given towards upkeep/ seeding etc of the pitch. That added to the rubbish weather (which I know all the other teams had to contend with too) helps to explain it I think.

I knew there had been a lot of games on it but didn't realise it was that many! No wonder it looks a bit worse for wear!

When i saw state of pitch and heavy rain coming down i knew we would struggle bet their pack thought it was Christmas.

I live near Belle Vue and the floodlights are on quite a lot through the week. Do the under 20's / 18's train on there?

Maybe they took some of the floodlight bulbs out and put them in the toilets!! Either that or SBK has taken some for his tanning business.

You'd be alright with one of the floodlight bulbs in a toilet cubicle, apart from being so bright that you'd come out blind and tanned the bulbs so powerful it would show you up like an X-Ray for everyone to see your ablution routine!
