| Quote ="poplar cat"predictions for their attendence?
also... why havent we as a club decided to attempt to get any act performing such as diversity or danyl johnson have in the past at these low attendence games.... [uat least they get the crowd figures up[/u even if they all go at half time like against dversity. some may stay and become propper fans.... i thnk weve missed one here
thoughts........'"
Maybe they lose money on these acts, i don't know.

| Anyone else get a quite a professional looking flyer (unfortunately with Tronc on the front!) through the post advertising the £10 Credit Crusade offer. The club are trying to boost the attendance for this fixture. A few season ticket holders may take up the opportunity to entice their mates to come along without the £18/20 price tag barrier that could be a put off for a casual supporter.
I’ll go for an optimistic 5.5K (weather permitting).

No.
Sounds like a good idea but I haven't seen one.
The problem with these sometimes is that you just get the usual suspects but getting in cheaper.

I got an email and flyer through and persuaded a casual fan to come. I think this is a good idea for these types of game. Hopefully, it will bolster the attendance figures a bit. Just hope weather is decent.

| I haven't got any mates (at all) with a season ticket so I can see how it might put a few folk off paying £20 when others who aren't as passionate (maybe) are paying £10.

We only got 4.8k a few weeks ago V Salford. That was our lowest crowd for ages.
We need at least 5k with that offer.

Considering that Salford brought very few then one would hope that’s the minimum that will pass through the gates.

| I'm a ST holder and I haven't seen hide nor hair of a flyer.
I'm hoping to bring the wife and kids on Sunday, partly in an attempt to make my hobby the family hobby (less grief for away games etc!) but also to do my part to bolster what will, I think, be a very poor attendance.

| TBH our average crowd would be quite high this year but away fans just aren't travelling, not sure if it's their poor form or scandalous fuel prices. £1.23.9 per litre for me last time I went to the Shell garage.
Les Cats brought about 4? Usually 20
Leeds 1,500 usually 2-4k
Giants 400 usually 600
Salford 200 Usually 500
Cas 500 usually 1-3k
even KR are 2k down on usual at this stage and they haven't played here yet.

| I'm sure you'll enjoy the mining museum - give yourself plenty of time and do the underground tour; really interesting stuff.
There are always spaces to be had on one of the back streets around the stadium - I use the word 'stadium' in it's broadest possible sense of course!
Safe journey.

More likely to be what they consider to be the scandalous admission prices, it didn't take a rocket scientist to work out that away support would be down this year with a £20 admission price into what every other fan outside Wakefield thinks is a dump
The feelings across these forums when the prices were announced pre season told you that not many would travel to Wakefield this year. It appears to me that the board at Wakey made a concious decision to squeeze as much as they could out of existing fans this year and blow the av. attendances because no one in their right mind would have seriously expected a rise in adult attendances on the back of a £2 rise in the current climate.

| this wont be popular but i can see less that 4,000 going on sunday, think theres quite a lot of discontentment among even some die hards, (ie me!) at present, its not the newton thing, its the brough deal, the tronc thing, and the resulting dull performances and heavy losses.
this is the quickest ive seen us slide backwards in years, as trb said, pre kear survival season probably.
not enjoying it, love gone wrong at present.....

ask about the ghost that is rumoured to appear down there, been down twice and never saw it
as for feeling at home I prefer to put the slippers on in front a coal fire than go do another shear

| we should make sure the ground is full every home game if that means giving thousands of free tickets to the clubs and schools, then we might sell merchandise.

I do agree I know that some have said we have to charge more because we don't get big enough crowds but you'd hope that a few quid less would get a few more going to the match. At our last 2 away games we've paid £16 and £17 to get into 2 very good modern stadiums. It's no wonder away fans don't want to shell out £20 to get into Belle Vue.
